Premier League players and managers who were slow to agree to donate one day's pay for hard-up nurses are in the news again, because after eventually agreeing to the initiative some of them have been slow to cough-up. Those who haven't yet got their hands in their pockets haven't been named and shamed at this juncture and they have until December to pay up.

Donating money to charity. A nice gesture to help those less fortunate than yourself. An area which is free from controversy, surely? Not if you're a footballer it seems.
Yes, the one topic you'd think couldn't possibly lead to footballer's coming under scrutiny has done just that.
