Huge news from the Championship, where Doncaster Rovers have sacked their mascot of three years
after she got her wabs out for a fairly timid lingerie shoot, posing alongside the head from her
'Donny The Dog' costume.
Doncaster have announced that 40-year old, mother-0f-three Tracy Chandler has been relieved of
her voluntary duties after she 'disgraced the club' by appearing in a charity photo shoot for a
newspaper.

From now on, we will be trying to give a little room to charities, volunteer organisations
and others that need your help in some way or another that are related to football and are worthy
of your attention. If you have anything that you feel we would be interested in, drop us a line via
the Contact page and we will do our best to help to publicise your cause or project.
It's time, then, for our weekly round-up of charities related to football that you can get
involved in or donate to. If you have a charitable venture that you would like to see featured on
Twohundredpercent, feel free to drop us a line (Tuesday or Wednesday is the best day to do this,
lest your email get lost in a pile of other messages that we receive) and we will make sure to
include you.
NEW YORK, NY— April 1, 2011 — Wildes & Weinberg is pleased to announce that
Managing Partner Michael Wildes has secured an O-1 visa for Edson Arantes Do Nascimento, better
known to millions as soccer icon Pelé, as he joins the New York Cosmos as Honorary President. As
an "Alien of Extraordinary Ability," who was recently hired to come to the United States to help
rebuild the world-famous professional soccer team in New York City, Pelé was required to secure an
O-1 visa before he was able to begin his employment for the team's front office.
Jamie Carragher was honoured for his outstanding charity work in the city by being named
Philanthropist of the Year at a glittering ceremony last night.
The Liverpool vice-captain was recognized in the Spirit of Merseyside Awards hosted by the
Community Foundation for Merseyside at the Philharmonic Hall.
With the club season completed with Swansea City's victory in the Championship Play-Off final,
and only a handful of European Championship qualifiers to go on the continent this evening, the
focus for football over the next few weeks will be off the pitch. And, while the majority of news
may come from the fallout of the FA v FIFA crisis, as well as the comings and goings of the
transfer market, the most important fixtures of the next month will not be anything to do with Sepp
Blatter, nor will they be the European Under 21 Championships or any of the opening games in the
Women's World Cup – in fact, these fixtures may not get any sort of coverage whatsoever, and
certainly will not be televised.

The Portland Timbers sponsored their second annual Bowl For A Goal on June 17 at Grand Central
Bowl. Benefiting Big Brothers, Big Sisters Columbia Northwest, the event gave fans the chance to
bowl with a Timbers player and also bid on some one of a kind Timbers gear. It also gave them the
opportunity to interact with the players in a casual, fun environment and judging by the smiles all
around, the charities weren't the only things that won this night.
And the match officials missed it! This is the best video we have seen for a while. All the work
that is done by FIFA, UEFA, football associations, clubs, sponsors and charities the world over to
promote the women's game and try to put it on level pegging with the men's game... and it's all

Can't believe the team borne from fans didn't do right by them...
First of all, I get it Philly Union. I do.
And on the surface, actually getting Bimbo to sponsor your jersey is a coup. It's probably a
pretty lucrative deal and the Bimbo brand carries weight...some places.
However, Bimbo as a sponsor of important clubs does not extend into the conscience of most fans
in the United States.
Tomorrow night at the 810 Zone on the Plaza there is a chance for you to say goodbye to Jimmy
Conrad. One of his favorite charities in KC, the Child Protection Center, is throwing him a
farewell party Thursday night, the 13th. The farewell party will go from 5-8PM in the game room at
the 810 Zone. You can also give $10 for a raffle ticket with the prizes being a Jimmy Conrad white
long sleeve Wizards jersey, a Jimmy Conrad Chivas USA jersey, and 2 tickets to the Wizards-Chivas
USA game at the new stadium once that date is announced.
Seattle Sounders will have their second Community Shield match on 6 March, this year against MLS
Cup winners Colorado Rapids. With the Sounders being the current holders of the US Open Cup, the
match is truly analogous to the Community Shield matches in England. It's a great idea from MLS'
most forward-thinking club, and one that raised over $80,000 for local charities last year.
With all his business and show biz lifestyle on the side, Rio Ferdinand may have surprised some
recently when he claimed he one day wanted to be a football manager.
Speaking with Andy Mitten, Rio has explained it's something for the future, when asked where
he'd be in ten years time.
"I'll either be managing a club or will be doing the school run and working on my magazine
and charities," he said.
With all the speculation of who will be the next Fire sponsor or if the Fire will even have a
sponsor, I decided to have a bit of fun and try to come up with a few visual aides. I kind of need
visual aides because...well..there is something to be said for aesthetics. Not all sponsors look
great on all kits (Getafe FC).
Steven Gerrard has launched a charitable foundation to help disadvantaged children – and picked
two Merseyside charities as its first beneficiaries.
The England and Liverpool FC star, who grew up on the Bluebell Estate, in Huyton, visited chosen
charities Claire House hospice and Fairbridge Merseyside for the launch of the Steven Gerrard
Foundation (SGF).
The Interview: Just Football meets Marcel Desailly is a post from: Just Football
Ahead of an historic meeting between England and Ghana, World Cup and back-to-back Champions
League winner Marcel Desailly speaks to Just Football
about the state of African football, important lessons learned from his application for the Ghana
job, the indiscipline of youth, why the few African players playing at Europe's highest level is
not enough for him and much more.
As we do every few weeks, we take a look at the promotions and marketing efforts MLS teams are
using to sell seats for the upcoming matches. We'll start in Houston, where the Dynamo are offering
a creatively marketed Hawaii 2-5 Package. The $99 deal includes 2 tickets to the May 21 match
against the Red Bulls at Robertson Stadium and entrance to a pre-game tailgate.
It's a long way from the council estates of Huyton to the lush terrain of southern Portugal where
Steven Gerrard spends his summers these days.
The 31-year-old's remarkable journey has been fuelled by talent - a talent which has earned him
fame and fortune.
Now, as he follows Jamie Carragher into the period of his career when his name will often be
preceded by the word veteran, Gerrard has decided to use those two assets to help children whose
backgrounds are not so different from his own, but whose fate has not been blessed in the same way.
Dynamo Press Release
"Save our Soccer" designated as beneficiary for 2011 Dynamo Charities Cup
HOUSTON (Tuesday, June 28, 2011) -- The Houston Dynamo have joined Houston City Council Member
James Rodriguez's fight to keep youth soccer alive in Houston's East End, the club announced today
at a press conference at City Hall.
Due to a brief summer break, this week's quick round-up football charities is a little later
than usual, but this evening we have another couple of causes related to the game which prove that,
for all of the bad news that seems to be out there and it can seem, from time to time, to be
perpetual there is still some good that can come from the heart of the game.

The Beautiful Game series explores how soccer makes a difference around the
globe.
Been a very emotional week here at TSG and we are tardy in following up on our The Beautiful
Game series.
Good news this month....the super touching Freddy Fund is about to break ground on their field
that story.
What hope is there for football if fan passion at the Merseyside derby spills over into
poison?
STORY OF THE WEEK Light, music, action, help! When the time came for me to make my debut in the
Strictly Come Dancing Ballroom, I was shaking like a leaf. I've played in front of 90,000 people at
Wembley, but I've never known nerves like it.
The Scottish Football Blog's first ever 24 hour blogathon takes place on 19 November.
Both the charities I'm fundraising for are close to my heart. One of them, Alzheimer Scotland, I've
chosen for particularly personal reasons.
To see dementia take hold of someone you love is horrific.
By Chris Wright
Brought together by a common hatred, both Manchester United and Manchester City fans are being
urged to ditch their Carlos Tevez replica shirts into a skip ahead of this weekend's Manc derby as
part of Betfair's 'Trash Your Tevez' jersey recycling campaign.
Our football memories might just save football from itself. Or, at the very least, preserve
something of its soul and heritage.
A goal, an away trip, a European jaunt? Or maybe the footballing memory helps frame a memory about
friends or family.
Regular readers will know that the Scottish Football Blog is quite the fan of such anecdotal
diversions.
One of the charities I'm hoping to benefit from next weekend's blogathon is Alzheimer Scotland.
There are a number of reasons for that choice but one of them is their excellent Football
Reminiscence Project.
Simply it's a project that put volunteers in touch with football fans who suffer from dementia.
Reminders of my essential crapness as an organiser are never far away.
It appears I've organised a blogathon for the day after the nation has been subjected to a
Wogan-athon. That big, ruddy, irresistible cuddly bear. And don't even get me started on
Pudsey.
Anyway, if you've got anything left to give or even just want to spread some kindness by shouting
encouragement or abuse from the Twitter and Facebook sidelines please keep an eye out from tomorrow
morning.
The Homeless World Cup and Alzheimer Scotland. Two charities doing fantastic work. You know the
donation drill.
Penultimate post time.
A suggestion from @theftblproject just minutes ago planted the seed for this post.
His Tweet read:
"In your very first post you wrote "Maybe Mr Romanov knows where this is going" - Five years on,
does he?
Umm....whoever created these World Cup footballers-as-USB-flash-drives idea needs to contact us.
ASAP.
By now you know that our brightest blogging moments are heavily inspired by alcohol.
Our own experience has shown that this approach is not always a good idea.
But for 'ballers, social media sans the sauce is lethal enough.
