What are the odds there are no English clubs in the Champions League's last eight? Derek
McGovern's Bets of the Day
Following the Champions League draw, it looks like two more teams who play in the best league

without it coming back to bite you. These Tottenham supporters were so delighted to be playing AC
Milan in the Champions League last season that they broke into a chant of "Are you watching,

takes for everything to grind to a standstill. The only person who will be pleased is the
Mugsmasher who went out and bought snow tyres for his car. Or his mountain bike. One or the other.
He'll be gleeful this morning, let me tell you.

Arsene Wenger is lining up a bid to bring Borussia Dortmund star Mario Goetze to Arsenal,

The paper adds that Rowley was also joined at the BVB Stadion by another "senior Arsenal spy"
such is the club's seriousness about signing the player.
UEFA's weekly wrap is always excellent, but this quote from Otelul Galati president Marius Stan
is both funny and eye-popping. Because be honest you didn't know who they were until the Champions
League draw.
"They are celebrating 25 years with Sir Alex Ferguson on the bench and we are celebrating 25
weeks since we have had floodlights at the stadium.
Nemanja Vidic could make only his second Premier League start of the season on Saturday when
Manchester United look to snap a three-game winless run against bitter rivals Liverpool at

The 29-year-old has not kicked a ball for the champions since limping out of the opening-day win
at West Brom.

Returning to league play after its surprising UEFA Champions League draw midweek against FC
Basel of Switzerland, Manchester United looked less-than-impressive in grinding out a 2-0 win over
Norwich City.

of Osasuna in Spanish La Liga action on Saturday. Reigning FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel

With the current turmoil at The Emirates Arsenal fans could be forgiven for forgetting that the
start of the Champions League Group stage is just around the corner but with more pressing issues
at hand, particularly in the Premier League where the Gunners have picked up just one point from
their first three league games, including the humiliating 8-2 defeat at the hands of Manchester
United Arsenal's season could be over before it's even begun and last week's Champions League
