It has been reported that Arsenal are close to sealing the deal for The Montenegro international and Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic. While the Gunners sealed the final Champions League place in the Premier League with victory at Newcastle, Fiorentina missed out despite beating Pescara 5-1.
Jovetic scored in the game, but it could be his last in Viola colours, as Metro reports that his agent, Fali Ramadani, is in the Capital to put the final touches to a deal that could cost the Gunners nearly £25 million.

As the dust settles on another Premier League campaign, Arsenal fans can look back on a satisfying final third of the season. While it may have been a little strange watching the celebrations of the Arsenal players at winning fourth place, with memories of the Invincibles still etched in our minds, we shouldn't begrudge them their plaudits.
Now that the Premier League season has come to a close, it's time for a retrospective look at events from the 2012-13 season. In my opinion, it hasn't been an exhilarating season by any means, with the title race a breeze for Manchester United.
But this season is something else: It will be the last time that Sir Alex Ferguson will be at the helm of Manchester United.
The 2012/13 Premier League season is over and, to be honest, it wasn't that great. We were definitely spoiled by the dizzying last-minute climax of the 2011/12 season, but watching Manchester United trudge to a 20th title while the rest of the league floundered and groaned had all the excitement of bingo night at Gareth Barry's house.
It has been a testing time for everybody concerned with Arsenal Football Club this season, but the players made sure that it finished with a bang by beating Newcastle United at St. James' Park yesterday. You could see the elation and relief on the faces of the Gunners and the Gooners who had traveled to see the game, but we really must do better next season.

Arsenal fans should be used to having our hearts in our mouths towards the end of just about every game since Christmas, but with so much at stake yesterday's game at Newcastle was even nervier than most. Laurent Koscielny's goal calmed us all a little, but we still had to suffer right to the end of the 90 minutes.

After a long and, at times, difficult campaign, it all comes down to what we do today. It's in our hands and we all know what's required. Win and we have at least a qualification game for the Champions League; draw and as long as Sp*rs don't win we've got the same; win, and Chelsea lose, and we finish third.

The avalanche of Arsenal transfer rumours over the last month has been led by the news that the arrival of Stevan Jovetic is expected to be named as an Arsenal player as soon as the season finishes, and we are all waiting expectantly despite rumoured interest from Juventus as well.
But yesterday the Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has told the Italian press that a decision on his future will not announced until after Jovetic has had a meeting with the Viola owner Diego Della Valle.
