Liverpool FC might be coming to Fenway Park next summer. The Boston Globe reports the Reds are in talks with Italian club AS Roma about playing a preseason friendly at the historic park in late June or early July.

Stoke City defensive midfielder Wilson Palacios has had to withdraw from Honduras' roster due to a knee injury, according to reports from Honduras, and he won't take on the U.

The St. Louis Lions, currently in their sixth season in the USL's Premier Development League (PDL), officially announced today that the organization has reached an agreement to affiliate with iconic Glasgow club Celtic F. C.

Liverpool Football Club can today confirm it will compete against some of Europe's top clubs in a Champions League-style U19s tournament which starts in 2011-12.
Sixteen clubs including Barcelona and Inter Milan have confirmed their involvement in The Nextgen Series - a six-month format which allows the continent's top young footballers to compete against each other week in, week out for the first time.

Three British clubs will tour Asian cities in the Premier Leagues' off season. Two EPL London clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea, will play against a Malaysian XI in Kuala Lumpur; Arsenal on 13 July and Chelsea on 21 July. Arsenal will subsequently play Chinese Super League side Hangzhou GreenTown on 16 July and Chelsea will play the Thai All-Stars in Bangkok on 24 July.

Celtic and Honduras left back Emilio Izaguirre has had an excellent debut season in Europe, and today he received the Scottish Premier League Player of the Year award to go along with his Player of the Year designation from the Scottish Professional Footballers Association. Izaguirre has won effusive praise from his coaching staff at Celtic and he will almost certainly end up on the transfer target lists of some very big clubs in Europe.

Washington, D.C. (April 25, 2011) - The D.C. United Youth Academy Under-17 team earned sixth place in the prestigious 2011 AEGON Future Cup in Amsterdam over the past weekend, as Patrick Foss scored four goals to earn the tournament's Golden Boot award.
The squad managed a 1-3-0 record, but gained valuable experience playing against a some of the top youth academies in the world, including Bayern Munich, Ajax Cape Town, and tournament champion, RSC Anderlecht.

It wasn't the victory Maurice Edu and Rangers were hoping for, but a 0-0 draw away to PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of their last-16 clash puts the Scottish side in a good position to advance.

With 57% of possession and six shots on goal to Rangers' two, PSV Eindhoven had the majority of possession but Rangers had the best chance of the match when on-loan defender Stanislav Manolev's header was touched wide by Andreas Isaksson.

Celtic beat Dundee Utd today 3-1 at Tannadice Park to move five points clear at the top of the SPL.
