The World Wildlife Fund wants Messi to wear a Real Madrid jersey for a day
If I supported Real Madrid, I'd be pumping up my bike tires as I type this. In an effort to
spread awareness for Earth Hour, which is an hour of "uniting people to protect the planet", the
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has celebrities teaming up with the organization to help spread awareness
of Earth Hour and promote sustainable habits.
Christine Bleakley is seen leaving the ITV studios with Frank Lampard and his kids, 04/01/2012.
First she was a hit, but now she's supposedly on thin ice with her new employers. Well that
didn't take very long now did it?
But why has Christine Bleakely fallen so quickly out of favour with the general viewing
public?

Here is a little news to make you Monday. A former girlfriend to football star and world player
of the year Lionel Messi has come out claiming that Messi's mother chased with a frying pan while
she was out shopping with her mother and aunt.
Of course, this is something you would only expect to see and hear from a dramatic soap opera
scene, but as shocking as it may sound, it actually happened.
Like many celebrities these days, Sven Goran Eriksson has come to be known by his first name
alone. Eriksson has one other thing in common with many others at the bottom end of that particular
part of the food chain, as well he has become rather better known in recent times for proclivities
that have little to do with his day job than for for what he is actually paid to do.
I've missed out on Beckham mania. He started his football career when I had already left England so
I was spared the hysteria and bullshit that accompanies people who are thought of as
celebrities.
Now though it seems that I'm about to get my fair share with reports suggesting LA Galaxy will play
a friendly in Jakarta at the end of November.

Here's Rio Ferdinand at a Pizzeria in Manchester earlier this year, where the
entire United team were out to celebrate qualifying for the Champions League finale. Well, we all
know how that turned out! Following Rio's failed attempt against a
newspaper to prevent a 'kiss and tell' of his other alleged affairs from being exposed, the former
England captain has bizarrely declared that he would have been a great actor if football didn't
come knocking.
This time of year, we're used to watching NBA preseason action. However, with the NBA lockout
putting things on hold, we'll have to settle for exhibition games of another sort. But there's an
interesting one being put together that will take place on the campus of Florida International
University on October 8th.
One of our first football manager games had Gianluca Vialli on the cover, and
it wasn't the best one around but the former Chelsea (player-manager), Juventus and Sampdoria man
is still quite a character. For starters, Vialli's English-Italiano accent remains quite sexy
thanks to his wife!
Hope Solo & Steve Nash are fantastic athletes, pretty good celebrities and decent gamers. You know
what they're not good at? Acting!
A team of celebrities will aim to raise money for the Hillsborough Family Support Group next month
when they take on a Swansea City legends team in Port Talbot.
Boxers Enzo Maccarinelli and Joe Calzaghe are just some of the high-profile names who have
confirmed their participation in the match, which will take place on October 9 at Afan Lido FC.

A gaggle of Celtic legends and celebrities took on their Manchester United counterparts at a
sold-out Celtic Park (60,000 people for a charity run-out ain't half bad going) last night in aid
of the East Africa Appeal and, beforehand, we couldn't help but notice that actor Gerard Butler's
torso bore a striking resemblance to the fizzog of a certain extra-terrestrial testicle.
Alex Rodriguez finds himself once again in a controversial situation. According to reports, this
controversy involved Alex Rodriguez and illegal poker. The New York Yankees third baseman, who is
currently on the disabled list, could reportedly face a suspension.

We thought Twitter can be very dangerous for celebrities in general, and footballers in
particular. And after Jose Enrique's recent tweet plus a number of Joey Barton's tweets that caused
one or two problems, Newcastle will be meeting with all Premier League clubs shortly, to discuss
the use of social media in football.

After turning a few heads across the pond with their exploits at the Women's World Cup, certain
members of the USWNT have returned to the States as celebrities and David Letterman has been quick
to pounce inviting Hope Solo and Abby Wambach round for a chat and a game of 'kick the ball in the
moving NY taxi'.

A tremendous game today: the polar opposite of U.S.-Brazil, and indeed of France-England, but as
riveting in it's way. That was a relief, since I'm not sure I could have handled the kinds of
emotional ups and downs that this past weekend delivered. Tonight, instead of the drama of
confusing calls and the absurdity of penalty kicks, we had a clean, flowing game, one won through
determined and brilliant play-making by the U.
Irfan Bachdim has certainly attracted some headlines since arriving in Indonesia last year. His two
goals at the AFF Cup, coupled with his boyish good looks (apparently), made Indonesian football
sexy for a couple of weeks with politicans, celebrities and other media magnets flocking to the
Bung Karno Stadium to bask in his glow.
When Stuart Holden announced on Twitter that he would come to a Philadelphia Union game, during
his time rehabilitating an injury in Wilmington, Delaware, no one expected him to show up and stick
around the River End. That's exactly what Holden did, however.
During an almost five minute visit with the Sons of Ben, Holden interacted more than most
celebrities would be allowed to when among fans.
LONDON, England A British politician defied a court order on Monday by identifying Manchester
United's Ryan Giggs as the soccer star fighting a legal battle to prevent newspapers from
publishing allegations of an affair. The release of Giggs' name will be seen as a victory for the
media over celebrities and their lawyers after [.
Since Twitter's inception, many celebrities have flocked to the social media website to share
information with their fans. In the past year, many of the world's top football players have joined
twitter. Naturally, there are players who have courted controversy with their twitter accounts
including Darren Bent and Ryan Babel.
The new cost of a Photoshop licence There has been a lot of talk recently about celebrities with
large Twitter followings being paid large sums of money to post sponsored tweets. But Liverpool
winger Ryan Babel has found out that it cuts both ways. He has been handed a £10,000 fine for the

When it comes to a form of communication that celebrities and sportsmen and women use to
interact with their fans, then Twitter has become the number one method for talking to their
followers.
Twitter has become a common use by many footballers that build up a community of their own
supporters and let them know what's on their mind, and what they are feeling at any moment in the
day.
El actor ganador del oscar Javier Bardem apoya al Barcelona de España, al ser cuestionado si
