It has been a season of surprises and disappointment for the Philadelphia Union.
The agent of former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has publicly discussed his client's next
move, indicating his caution at accepting a job that doesn't fit the Portuguese man's criteria.
Villas-Boas has been named as the favorite to accept the Liverpool job according to many
sources, but agent Carlos Goncalves insists AVB is looking for a more permanent home than his
short stint at Chelsea.
Seattle Sounders (5-1-1, 16pts) put a makeshift lineup on the pitch to face the Philadelphia
Union (2-4-1, 7pts). Sounders are fresh off their first home win against LA Galaxy in MLS three
days prior and travel to FC Dallas on Wednesday and home against Real Salt Lake on Saturday .
Philadelphia has struggled this season, although their Goalkeeper has posted the second longest
scoreless streak in MLS this season at 408 minutes from March 25th to April 18th.
Last September, 29-year-old Carolyn Still became the youngest CEO in English football when she
took the helm at Conference side Mansfield Town. Two weeks after her appointment, she was engaged
to club chairman John Radford (this handsome devil), and it has emerged that she used to work as an
escort under the name 'Luella'.
The always controversial Paul Gardner writes about Chelsea's victory over Barcelona.
A couple of deja vu scenes present themselves. It's 1954 in Berne, and West Germany has just
won the World Cup by beating the invincible Hungarians (well, they hadn't lost a game in four
years). How could that happen?
An elbow to the head will not go unpunished under the Major League Soccer Disciplinary
Committee's watch. Vancouver Whitecaps striker Atiba Harris was suspended one game for his elbowing
of Philadelphia Union center defender Carlos Valdes during a scoreless draw at PPL Park on March
31.
Harris tried to play off the elbow as being unrelated to an incident last year between the two
players, but there has been speculation that the Kittitian forward hit Valdes in revenge.
The Brazilian clubs Guaranay, green, and Sergpipe, red, aside from the excellent names, join the
many legions of clubs in lower tiers who will gain infamy through something other than their
football. The former, down 1-0 in the dying moments, threw caution and the goalkeeper into the
latter's box, leaving open the net down the other end, where the attacker would find.
Major League Soccer's Disciplinary Committee and overall leadership was kept busy this week
thanks to the Houston Dynamo at Seattle Sounders match. The more famous Colin Clark anti-gay slur
incident earned him a three game suspension, but there is more fallout from the game now. After
post match review Adam Moffat is suspended for his next match and fined due to "a reckless
challenge which endangered the safety of his opponent" (Osvaldo Alonso).
Boy Week 3 sure was interesting in MLS now wasn't it? Some of the bottom teams got their first
wins of the season while a couple teams at the top of the order stumbled.
One thing to be clear, it's March, it's early and we don't know a ton just yet. I didn't do a
ton of moving around this week with all the shake ups.
Assessing Arsenal's situation in regards to Koscielny by KJ Arsenal are in scintillating form at
the moment with a 7 win-streak. We look favourites now to secure at least 4th place and maybe even
more. Yesterday, Arsenal managed to win against Aston Villa and moved us 3 points ahead of our
North London rivals and [.
You would expect the Chelsea fans to be unanimously more than up for this considering our recent
form compared to theirs. But browsing the Chelsea forums, they are treating this one with more
caution than you would expect. The issues that existed before AVB was sacked are still present,
they're just hidden by the shroud of joy that comes with a new manager.
Everton are in pole position to finish yet another season in the upper half of the Barclays
Premier League table with limited resources but ahead of tonight's derby visit to Liverpool,
manager David Moyes and midfielder Tim Cahill have emphasized the need to continue their big
displays.
Despite a traditionally slow start to the season, Moyes calmly steadied the ship at Goodison
Park, masterminding unexpected victories over the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, and most
recently, Tottenham Hotspur.
Many of you have called for the firing of Andre Villas-Boas. Many of us, like me for instance,
have called for caution in this case. Polarizing this young Portuguese.
It may not matter what we think for much longer, that is if Duncan Castles is to be believed. He
says, in The National, that Villas-Boas has been told he will be sacked if he fails to
guide Chelsea past Napoli in the second leg of our Champions League first knockout round tie in two
weeks.
AC Milan easily beat Arsenal 4-0 Wednesday night to give their European title hopes a massive
boost ahead of the return fixture in two weeks time. Arsenal really did not put up any resistance
and after Boateng's stunning strike in the 15th minute, the gunners never really looked in it.
The match also marked the end of club icon Thierry Henry's 2 month loan spell albeit on a sour
note as the striker failed to honour his pre-match promise of gifting club supporters with a
parting goal.

Avert your eyes, Kickettes! We haven't revealed this much flesh on the site in one go since Tim
Howard was kind enough to get his nekkid on for ESPN, and our server collapsed under the weight of
our rampant lust.

The Chicago Fire are now a good two weeks into their first phase of preseason camp and have been
making all of the necessary adjustments as the start of the new 2012 campaign nears. Part of the
preseason activity, though, has included shooting down rumors of a superstar Designated Player
acquisition.
Kenny Dalglish knows Liverpool still have work to do to reach the Carling Cup final despite their
1-0 victory over Manchester City in the first leg at the Etihad Stadium.
Steven Gerrard's 13th minute penalty set the Reds on their way, with the visitors dominating the
first period before lacklustre City improved after the break.
Reds urge Gerrard caution
Kenny Dalglish insists he will resist any temptation to rush captain Steven Gerrard back into
action too soon.

Game Intelligence throws caution to the snow with an attacking line up fit for Boxing Day. Gung Ho

Mike Williamson could well start at Bolton on Monday afternoon. Mike Williamson - could return at
Bolton on Monday But if that happens James Perch could well get another run out in central
defense fairly soon, and that's because Colo is on four yellow cards, and one more caution
will see him miss one game, just like Yohan Cabaye did on Wednesday.
That feeling of joy
Another 3 points in the bag that puts us level on points with Chelsea and just 2 points behind
Tottenham, until their match tonight at least. Not the most accomplished of performance you will
ever see from Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side but don't let anyone tell you that we didn't deserve to
get all 3 points from this game.
Ho, ho, ho Argentine midfielder Jonatan Germano thought he had the perfect seasonal celebration
when he scored for Melbourne Heart against Brisbane Roar: he put on a Santa hat and did a happy
dance over near the corner flag. Scrooge McReferee was having none of it though and booked Germano
for his exuberance in the [.

Each week during the season I'll post an updated MISL Power Ranking which will be based off the
cumulative results and current strength of each team. Here's my rankings heading into Week 6.
#1 Milwaukee Wave (5-0, 1st Place MISL Central Division)While the Baltimore Blast are making a compelling argument for why they should be ranked #1 in the
power rankings, the Milwaukee Wave are still the top team in the league at this moment.
Hi everyone,
If you have seen this weekend's games, you must have noticed that the referees did make some
questionable decisions.
I am going to start off with the Newcastle - Chelsea game which ended with Chelsea winning 0-3. The
controversial decision there came in the beginning when Daviz Luiz pulled down Demba Ba when he was
going clear on goal.
1. It could definitely have been worse for England. Far, far worse. Yet the caution about our
prospects against the likes of the Ukraine and Sweden is reassuring. 2. England v France at the
European Championships just won't be the same without a vomiting Zinedine Zidane. 3. Spain, Italy
and the Republic of Ireland make [.
