exactly what happened in Egypt last night. At least 73 people
were killed after Al-Masry defeated Al-Ahly 3-1 at the Cairo stadium with more than
1,000 injured in the stampede.

So far the first round of international games has left us with no real casualties. But still one
game to play for most internationals so let us not sell the skin of the [.
Morning chums!
Football returns tomorrow. For some. The rest of us have to wait until Sunday to sit around
hungover and watch Arsenal, but it's coming. And with that comes the news. The life-blood of this
very site. Stuff about Arsenal. It's marvelous. Arsene Wenger has been talking about various things
and we can pore over every word, examing them, analysing them, and seeking to be offended at the
slightest little thing.
AVB's new blues take shape... but Hansen feud was pointless
He arrived determined to prove he was his own man, that he was not, in any sense, Mini-Mou. Six
weeks into his first season at Stamford Bridge, there can be no doubting that Andre Villas-Boas is
delivering on that personal promise, capitalising on the fact that a manager is never stronger than
at the start of his reign.
Editor's Note: We continue a great new feature on the Free Beer Movement site. In
collaboration with the quality soccer site, "The Other 87 Minutes" we present the "Tuesday XI" (and
sometimes the "Tuesday Ten") a thoughtful list on a variety of topics in the world of soccer.

available for selection.
The England international is struggling with an ankle injury that forced him to withdraw from
the squad to face Holland, a match that was later called off due to the unrest in London.
With football financial fair play rules on he horizon a warning once again has been sent out to
football clubs about the potential financial disaster awaiting those who don't curb their wild
spending.
A new report by José María Gay de Liébana - football finance specialist at the University of
Barcelona - this month warns a "football bubble crash" across Europe if clubs don't start acting
responsibly.
Danny Murphy's strangely downbeat pre-game comments should be able to be transcribed to his
post-game comments as they summed that game up perfectly:
"We played in Europe a few years ago and it became that way. If it was new and the first time I
had done it in 10 years then it might be a bit more exciting.
Newcastle have had one friendly game and they already have injury casualties from that single game.
Shane Ferguson - will miss season start And it seems that both players, Danny Guthrie and Shane
Ferguson, who were injured in the first half of the game on Friday night, will now miss the start
of the season [.
As you've probably heard, it's a very sad day here in the Netherlands. The video is from this
morning, here's the latest. Obviously, the thoughts at NSC and here in Amsterdam go out to those
involved in the tragedy, their families and the entire FC Twente kin.Casualties in Dutch stadium
roof collapse door itnnews- Greg Seltzer
Rather alarming news from out of Enschede today, as FC Twente's stadium De Grolsch Veste has
collapsed and there are people trapped underneath, with rumors, if no confirmations, of
"casualties".
This is no small stadium; not, considering, their presence in the Champions League, and though
it was under construction, which sounds the culprit, this has the potential to be both tragic and
widely impacting in the world of football.
According to Physioroom, Liverpool have had 43 separate injuries to first team players since the
beginning of August. The above graphic shows only 38 for two reasons. First, there are two
different Gerrard groin injuries listed in February. However, since he didn't play any matches in
the meantime, I'm only counting it as one.
For 78 minutes on a bright Saturday afternoon in Manchester, the Manchester Derby had been a
decent football game. Even with both teams lining up in a 4-5-1, the first hour of the game was
still far better than the snore fest at Eastlands (though that isn't really saying much).
The Fire's practice session on Saturday looked a bit lighter for good reason. Several players
are no longer in camp and won't be headed to phase 2 of pre-season training in Florida next
week.
Supplemental draft pick Yannick Salmon and trialists Barry Rice, Ashley McInnes, and Hunter
Jarrett are the first casualties.
It comes as no surprise after Roman spending over £70m this week to sign Fernando Torres and David
Luiz and Chelsea winning again to make it three Premier League wins on the spin, that the Sun has
once again chosen to write an article here, stating that Chelsea will be looking to offload five
under performing players this summer in order to balance the books.
The Physio room at Tottenham is becoming ever more crowded as Steven Pienaar joined a growing
list of casualties after a head injury picked up in training. Pienaar clashed heads with fellow new
signing Bongani Khumalo and was reported to have been knocked unconscious. He is expected to be out
for two weeks.
