Ever since I started watching football many years ago now, when it came time for the World Cup,
Spain were always considered a dangerous threat by many pundits that they would win the tournament,
only to let everyone down time and time again. Spain are likely to have one of the best selling
World Cup Jerseys in the tournament, but the best they have finished is 4th place in a World Cup
and that was in 1950.

Luis Figo and fam hit the streets of Paris. Guess they like their outerwear puffy.
Everton's Joseph Yobo is engaged to the (former) "Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria". Pass judgment on
her ring if you are in the mood. Congrats!
Sylvie van der Vaart has finished her chemo.

No recuerdo una derrota más humillante que esta, frente al Alcorcón. No pudo titularse mejor.
Es increíble cómo perdieron la eliminatoria a doble partido cerrando en el Bernabéu. Hoy no
apareció ese histórico espíritu que les hace ganar con la pura camiseta, como en otras
ocasiones. Fue un equipo vulgar.

There might just be a Kickette brawl, folks. This morning our Spanish amigas from Poprosa
alerted us to cougar-on-the-Migi-prowl Patricia Conde and her advances towards our coveted
pillow lips. He's 23 – she's 30.
Rumour has it, after being introduced recently by Iker "the evil matchmaker" Casillas, they went
shopping (sob) and to the movies.

Atletico have not won at the Bernabeu in 10 years. The last time October 30th, 1999 when Jimmy
Floyd Hasselbaink with his brace and Jose Mari won a now historic victory. Sergio Aguero was 11
years old.
Hasselbaink was virtually unstoppable and so was Joan Capdevila, now at Villareal.

Last week I posted what I believed to be Rafa Benitez's 10 biggest transfer blunders. This week, as
promised, I take a look at the 10 best signings during the Boss's 5 years in charge. And there have
been some absolute corkers!
When you think back to the squad Rafa inherited (Traore, Biscan, et al), it is clear that our squad
is now superior in almost every way.

Despite the plethora of Champions League games available to me this week I flicked my sports
channel over to the game in Milan to see whether the Milanistas could re-create their spectacular
victory in the Bernabeu two weeks ago. And, despite their failure to upset the football betting
odds and re-enact their Madrid heroics following 90 scrappy but passionate minutes, there were
still signs that they have turned the corner.

Kaka made his glorious return to his old home for Tuesday's Champions League tie between
Real Madrid and AC Milan a loser-free lovefest that ended in a 1-1 draw. The San Siro gave their
returning hero a warm welcome as both sides had their chances to take three points in the wide open
match.

lista.

I'm a literal sort of person, and it annoys me when things are so stupidly wrong, and yet people
still fall for it blindly, and repeat it as though it is a fundamental truth. Like the idea that
Liverpool are a two man team, which is a theory so widespread, it's become gospel.
For a start, how can any side be a two man team?

The PR team in charge of WAG reputations has been hard at work recently.
Diamonds/flowers/hand-crafted poems are so 2008. This is a true expression of love.
Surely now there's no reason England wouldn't be given the 2018 World Cup.

.Real Madrid felt the absence of Christiano Ronaldo, as they suffered a comprehensive 2-1 defeat at

not only took apart the 100 percent win record [.

Funny thing happened on the way to the battle of the unbeaten between Barcelona and Real Madrid
next month. Someone forgot to tell Sevilla who beat Real 2-1 win at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan

Without the services of the injured Cristiano Ronaldo, Real seemed to lose its attacking swagger
that has carried it so far this season, and instead the attention was focused on Madrid's poor
defence.

Sir Alex looks for a long term goalkeeper solution.
Manchester United are keen on Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera as a replacement for
Edwin van der Sar.
According to Sportal.it, the Red Devils have laid eyes on the Uruguayan shot-stopper. Muslera
joined the Biancocelesti in 2007, and after a poor start last term, the goalkeeper has improved,
attracting plenty of interest in the process.
