Transfer Tuesdays - Volume 4: Things are starting to come together

As we get further into July and teams get further into pre-season training, we see more and more transfers becoming official. The big clubs are pretty much at a stand still, but the smaller clubs are working out deals to improve on last season's finish and maybe turn a few heads next season.

Serie A Weekend Round-up: Giornata 2

Giornata 2 was another exciting week of Italian calcio. Inter and Juventus got back on track with wins, but Roma, Milan, and Fiorentina fell back a step with losses. Lazio continues to impress (Mauro Zarate especially) and Atalanta show they are a solid side. Cagliari still finds itself without any points (like Milan) and Massimiliano Allegri looks set to be on Cellino's chopping block.

Daily Calcio News and Notes: 7/31/08

Here's what I scrounged around for today:

-Milan striker Marco Borriello has been operated on and will now start his recovery. Reports are he will be out for around 2 months. (could be less if he puts a lot of hard work into the recovery process.)

-Pierluigi Casiraghi is predicting a big Olympic performance from Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi.
