THBN - Tottenham Hotspur Blog News 07 November @ 04:21 AM EST
I woke up cheerful today, as is normally the case on most Saturday's, especially on Saturday's when we're playing at home. My smile quickly turned into a miserable frown and my joy evolved, faster than than any Richard Dawkin's book, into disgust as I read that Chelsea are now allowed to trade within January's transfer window after the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) postponed the FIFA imposed ban until it (CAS) has heard the club's appeal. Well, it's official: Adrian Mutu must pay Chelsea FC €17m, so says the Court for Arbitration of Sport. The ruling was handed down awhile ago, sometime last year to be not quite precise, but Adrian went through the various appeals process with little success. Don’t @#$% With Franck Ribery’s Money

The Offside 19 September @ 04:30 PM EST
Agents are, shall we say, less than favorable people. To be an agent one doesn't have to be exceedingly brilliant, but being a charlatan, swindler and wielding questionable morals at best are almost prerequisites. So when you hear stories like Franck Ribery's, it puts a little kick into your step. Franck canceled his deal with [. Click to continue reading...

Mutu Owes Chelsea €17.17 Million. Does That Seem Fair?

The Offside 14 August @ 03:00 PM EST
It wasn't widely report at the time, but back in June FIFA decided that Adrian Mutu owed Chelsea €12 million (£9.6 million) compensation. Why? For putting some special Colombian powder up his nostrils, getting his contract terminated and then signing for Juventus on a free transfer before moving on to current club Fiorentina. All the drama of the past week could not put a damper on our play. We are in top form. And as all our fans knew, and now all of Greece knows, we are the real Champions. Pick Yourselves Up and Play

AEK Archives 22 April @ 09:47 AM EST
Apollon Kalamarias had their day in court, as the saying goes, and they lost. Yes, its a shame. One of our sources in Greece just wrote in with the following update: The Court of Arbitration for Sport held its hearing today and it lasted 9 hours. A fine mess…

AEK Archives 16 April @ 09:54 AM EST
I mean it. On February 3rd, a scrappy Apollon Kalamarias side upset heavily-favored champions Olympiacos 1-0. Olympiacos ran to the EPO protesting that Apollon fielded an ineligible player. The EPO ruled in Olympiacos's favor, reversed the result of the match and docked Apollon an additional point. Click to continue reading...
