In 1965 my late father in law, an engineer by trade and a mechanic by inclination, was the owner of
an immaculate, black Rover 100. He spent the weekends 'tinkering' with the engine. That was in the
days when cars lasted for ever and scrappage schemes for a mere 10yr.old vehicles would have been
met with derision.

Quit partying or you'll get it! Players at Argentine outfit Godoy Cruz found threats painted on
their cars yesterday after their third successive defeat led to the sacking of coach Diego Cocca.
The graffiti politely suggested the squad might like a few quiet nights in. The threats said: "You
got the coach sacked to go on partying.

Another headline that's surely never been written in the history of the English language.
This story takes us to Scotland, where it turns out a bunch of Aberdeen fans were dressed as sheep
as they rode the train to an upcoming soccer match against Hibs in Edinburgh.
One unfortunate 24-year-old dude was apparently set alight and ran through the cars with his
sheep-suit engulfed in flames.

While Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has clearly enjoyed his Spain side cruise to the World Cup
2010 finals with a perfect record (and no goals conceded at home), he has spoken to
Arsenal.com to offer some backing to a couple of his teammates who won't be appearing in
the showpiece event next summer.

Forget for a minute how played "Cars" is, that Gary Numan is 51 years old & wearing black nail
polish and that Trent Reznor's sweaty ass is probably only one drip into his keyboard away from
electrocuting himself on stage. What I'm feeling from this is the roving on-stage camera; it almost
makes you feel like you are part of the band except for the fact that you won't get check or a
groupie for watching this.

Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong has revealed that he has considered a career in motor

the factory to see the new models when they were coming out.

Some you win.
And some you lose.
I do feel a frisson of patriotic spirit starting to build inside me.
I remember when my lover and I first started 'stepping out' together.
One of our earliest conversations comprised my lover listening to a diatribe from me about the
awfulness of tying England flags to cars.

I looked back at one of my old blog posts called, "Amanda Vandervort's Top 8 SEO Sites," and
realize what a rookie I was. While the post certainly has merit, it was less about SEO and more
about tools that can help you create an effective website I still use these tools with frequency so
if you want to check out the post, it's still a good resource.

Attached is a great article about how and why the United States develops some of the world's best
goalkeepers.
Americans know how to do a few things quite well. We can deep-fry the hell out of anything, we
can make bigger cars than anybody, and, oh yeah, we produce some fine goalkeeping talent. Click to continue reading...

Pakistan are victorious! And all Pakistan fans' cars seem to have working horns. Tooting is

I used to think 20-20 was an abomination. I was very wrong. What a great game they've come
up with. (Of course, it's exactly the game many of us played every summer Wednesday while growing
up, but it's nice to see the old midweek slogs being played by experts.

Just got back home last night after spending ten days in a hotel for the 17CCEM. The whole thing
was wonderful but tiring because of the tight schedule. I was always on the move and got to go to
bed only at around two everyday.
I had the privilege to be assigned with the delegates from the Kingdom of Lesotho.

It was six years in the making and millions of pounds over budget but the new Wembley still cuts in
impressive figure on the London skyline.
Last month it hosted its third FA Cup final between Everton and Chelsea. To mark the occasion, and
the fact I actually had a ticket, I thought I would give my opinion on the new Wembley Experience.

Milan's very own players were the subject of an Italian humor programme, "Striscia La Notizia",
when most of their cars were caught breaking the 30km/h speed limit upon leaving
Milanello! Of course hombres didn't go all out like Vin Diesel and co'
but Thiago Silva's 74km/h clearly suggested that he wanted to get
home real quickly.

Like Arsenal's season, my blogging has tailed off.
I did catch most of yesterday's 0-0 with Man Utd, a better than average goalless draw that we
bossed without really threatening to win.
As has been pointed out most vocally by Wenger himself, one of the unexpected side effects of
what has been a disappointing season is the barracking from the home crowd.

While battling the blues, Hade and I took time out from our usual evening schedule to go
outdoors last night. We went to Islington, where I work, and saw Jim White at Union Chapel.
And yes, it really is a chapel. You go in, get your hand stamped, nip upstairs where a choice
of noodles or quiche is available at £5 a throw (proceeds to a homeless charity), sit in a back
room and eat that and drink some beer, then head back down to the chapel for the main event (no
beer in the chapel).

If you recall, Joan Laporta had a tough summer. There was a vote to have him ousted as king of

thin margins. So this season must put a bit of wind in his sail to say the [...]

I admit it... that used to be me every time the ol' PC started going goofy and I had no clue how to
