Technical difficulties?

0
I admit it... that used to be me every time the ol' PC started going goofy and I had no clue how to make it stop. I'm not what one would call overly computer savvy. I know computers like I know cars - I know only what I've had to fix. But today, as I continued to struggle for techno-normalcy for the second day in a row, I thought of some recent sage advice from my dear friend Ami: "Just say. Click to continue reading...

Flash git gets new wheels C-Ron has celebrated his return to training by purchasing a £160,000 Bentley Continental GT Speed. The winger has followed in the footsteps of team-mates Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville by picking up the 58 plate Bentley. That means the Man Yoo speedster has now spent £2 million on cars since arriving at [. Click to continue reading...

800 Hours of Awesome - How to build a Subaru Rally Car...

3
I've always wondered how they put together these cars. Are they purpose-built one-offs or are they production vehicles, heavily modified. Subaru Rally Team USA decided to lift the covers on how it's done and thought it would be cool to share - and we agree. Enjoy the time-lapse goodness... Click to continue reading...

Dumb football: Burnley v Ipswich match delayed due to parachutist on the roof

0
The Championship match between Burnley and Ipswich kicked off late yesterday when a parachutist involved in a pre-match jump missed his target and landed on the roof of the Turf Moor stadium. There was more mayhem when the fire engine that came to rescue the stranded parachutist couldn't get into the ground because of parked cars. Click to continue reading...

Great Crowd at Great Game: Tigres 2-1 Aztex

1
We had a great crowd of predominantly Tigres fans at Dragon Stadium last night. The Aztex lost 2-1, but put up a very good game against the Mexican pros. The official attendance was a record-setting 4,743, but I don't think that included all the people sitting on top of cars and vans along the stadium driveway. Click to continue reading...

Twin-Supercharged GTO...

Bad ass 1970 super super charged GTO
When I was a kid, I drew cars all the time and the vast majority of my creations had stuff sticking out of the hood because let's face it - there's nothing cooler than stuff sticking out of the hood. Big scoops, Tunnel Rams, exhaust pipes, whatever. But this, this takes the cake. Click to continue reading...

Video: VW's Soccer Collision Course

You see this sh*t yet? Bananas. I guess Red Bull doesn't have a monopoly on making up crazy-assed games out of thin air. It goes without saying that the Jerry's are absolutely nuts but for once the results are kinda cool.

Watching this I noticed that all of the cars are Volkswagons and that they sponsored this demolition derby-come-soccer game. Click to continue reading...

It's a Mann's World

This weekend I went to Silverstone to support a local World Renault Series driver...

Pippa Mann is from Ipswich, she's 23 and she's the only woman driver in the league that feeds into the Formula One championship.

I covered the race for Town 102 because she's a local girl. Click to continue reading...

I finished up a new book last night, The Driver: My Dangerous Pursuit of Speed and Truth in the Outlaw Racing World by Alex Roy. So this guy Alex Roy is a rich New Yorker who decided to take up endurance road rallying. Well, that's nothing new, dozens of the idly rich take part each [...] Click to continue reading...

So who is this sponsor anyway?

3
Steve says it's a foreign automaker: That makes sense. The Big 3 are hemorrhaging money anyway. Here are my "favorites" for the deal. Please note, my predictions are based purely on conjecture. Chance of it being them: 50% Toyota has already shown an interest in sponsoring MLS through its purchase of the naming rights to the [. Click to continue reading...

Photo Daily | January 7 | Italy 2-0 Germany, World Cup 2006

This week's photos will cover a tragically unexplored topic in the world of football: fans' celebrations in cars. It seems there's some primeval urge, after your team wins, to go out driving. Today, we see Italian fans celebrating their 2006 World Cup semi-final win over Germany in a very small car. Photo credit: reportergimmi™ on [. Click to continue reading...
