Kris Boyd he of the recent excursion to Dynamo country is not earmarked for Stumptown USA, the
Portland Timbers. Boyd will join as a designated player.
The flip from Boyd to Cooper will be contrasting for P-Town fans as Boyd's game more closely
dovetails with Diego Chara's a little bit of nastiness and a whole lot of go-go-go.
MLS returned to action after the All-Star break with mixed results. Houston continued their
domination at home against Seattle while Vancouver was schellacked by LA. Portland jumped out to an
impressive lead before surrendering it to Toronto. Colorado made a statement to the league in a
photo finish against the Union.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution supporters groups organized a walkout in the 17th
minute of Sunday night's game against the Philadelphia Union at Gillette Stadium in protest of the
so-called "Fortgate" incident. Aside from a red card to Benny Feilhaber, they didn't miss much in
the remaining 73 minutes.

Now that the shock has worn down from four Brazilian teams being ousted in the Copa
Libertadores Round of 16, which concluded last week, the focus is now on the remaining
quarterfinalists, which represent seven nations. The tournament doesn't have the usual overflow of
Argentine or Brazilian teams at this stage yet each country still has a representative not only in
contention but also considered favorites to lift the continent's most coveted trophy.
