With no news from the Union, or anywhere else I can find, on the team's draw with Florida Gulf
Coast University on Saturday other than this tweet, our featured image today is of a crate of
oranges. No information about lineups, formations, who stood out, no photos, nothing. Meanwhile the
Internet is littered with reports, video, analysis of the preseason games of other MLS teams.
On Tuesday, Carlos Tevez issued an apology to Manchester City Football Club. Despite this apparent
show of remorse, Roberto Mancini should refrain from using the Argentinean striker regularly. Even
though City are currently in need of a few more...

Tonight is the third of four big games for RDM and his Chelsea side as we travel to
Manchester.
Off the back of four wins from four we have confidence leading into the game and rightly so but
its important to take each game as it comes and we have to be aware of the threat City will pose
tonight.
TweetManchester City fell seven points behind Manchester United after losing 1-0 to Arsenal at the
Emirates Stadium on a decisive day in the Premier League title race. There was something eerily
poetic about Mikel Arteta's 87th minute strike which not only gave Arsenal a priceless 1-0 win over
title chasers Manchester City, but also condemned [.
Some thoughts then:
Manchester City look a good team to me, but not as good a team as they should be. Carlos Tevez
could have had this league sewn up some time ago, and the fact that they needed the 95th minute of
the last game of the season suggests some under-achievement. They'll win the next few though I
imagine.
At current pace, the Manchester Derby could settle right below Clasico levels in a few years
time. The spending and success on the blue side of town will only breed animosity, while history
still remains firmly in the red half of town.
Plus Carlos Tevez will be involved* and nothing fans the flames like a sign celebrating Fergie's
ultimate demise.

TweetCarlos Tevez has sparked controversy after unveiling a poster with the message RIP Fergie
scribbled across it during Manchester City's Premier League trophy parade. The banner was handed to
Tevez by a Manchester City fan during Monday's open-top bus parade through the streets of
Manchester. It was of course a cheeky reference to Sir Alex [.
The winter transfer window in Europe is set to close today, and teams are still scrambling to
fill vacancies and address needs for the second half of their respective seasons.
While we don't seem likely to have any megastars making winter transfer moves, despite resurgent
rumors of Carlos Tevez to AC Milan, there is still some serious talent changing addresses.
Three months and £10 million in fines after refusing Roberto Mancini's request that he warm up
a second time during a Champions League match and then fleeing back to Argentina without
permission, Carlos Tevez has apologized to the club that could not sell him. The following is a
transcript of Tevez's apology, with the help of his adviser Kia Joorabchian, to the man who vowed
that Carlos would never play for City again.
Richmond Kickers head coach Leigh Cowlishaw is interviewed about the concept of cost-free youth
academies and what that means for youth soccer in America. We suggest a few improvements for the
MLS All-Star Game, discuss Carlos Tevez' apology, Eddie Johnson's press conference and ask the
question: Would Liverpool fans rather have the Carling Cup trophy or a spot in next season's
Champions League?
A crafty Scandinavian TV crew took ladders to Manchester City's Carrington training ground to get a
glimpse of Carlos Tevez's return to action. The Argentine prodigal son made his City comeback in a
behind-closed-doors friendly against Preston North End yesterday. But Norway's 2 Sporten were not
going to let some closed doors getting in their [.

The Premier League title and the Champions League places are far from a done deal. Both
Manchester City and Tottenham have blown healthy leads in first and third place respectively to
fall down to second and fourth, and while City's depth and sheer quality (not to mention a recall
for Carlos Tevez) may yet save their title challenge, Tottenham don't have that wild card to call
upon.

Manchester City and Manchester United meet to night in one of the most anticipated derby ties
since 1968, when United relinguished their title to their noisey neighbours City. But is this tie a
winner takes all? It could if United win, if City win it will just go down to the final dfay of the
season.
Probably not Carlos Tevez's brightest moment here with the Argentine striker snapped holding up
a "R.I.P. Fergie sign at the parade of Man City's Premier League trophy tonight in the streets of
Manchester.
I mean its understandable that City are excited and want to celebrate, but to make a sign like
this, and then for a professional to actually hold up the sign in front of thousands of City
fans?
As the January transfer window kicks into high gear, the name many football fans are most eager to

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has been found guilty of gross misconduct and fined six
weeks' wages after flying home to Argentina without permission, a club source told Reuters. Tevez
has been in Argentina since November as his agents try and negotiate a move to AC Milan.
City have obviously had enough of Tevez's antics and told Reuters:
"In response to speculation, the club confirms that Carlos Tevez was found guilty by a
disciplinary hearing on 21 December of gross misconduct for serious breaches of contract and was
fined six weeks' wages," the source said.

Last month, I conducted a survey on this site asking if Liverpool fans would be happy if the club
signed Carlos Tevez, and over 63% of fans who took part in the poll voted yes. Liverpool legend
Steve Nicol was asked yesterday if he would like to see Tevez at Anfield, and he gave a completely
different answer.
Manchester City's Carlos Tevez is one of the most maligned players in the Premier League at the
moment, and Liverpool legend Steve Nicol recently argued that "the football world would think a lot
less about Mancini if he does decide to let him come back". Nicol's former team-mate Mark Lawrenson
seems to be a lot more forgiving though, and he believes Tevez could still play an important role

Of all of the options Carlos Tevez was looking at over the last few months, returning to the
field for Manchester City was likely the last on the list. But it's getting closer to
happening.
Tevez returned to Manchester and had a physical with the club's doctors on Tuesday ahead of a
surprise return to the club after three months away from the team.
Oh, what would Maradona say about this? The final episode of "Tevez
y Mancini La Ópera de Amor" has finally come to a close on all of you. But fear not,
because although Man City went out of their way to come up with a personalised training
plan for him upon his return yesterday, Tevez wants to contest the €12 million
fine they have slapped on him.

I hope like me everyone had a goodnight relaxed, in the knowledge that we do not have to play
again until next Tuesday night.
In a game where I thought during the first half especially Liverpool, could have put at least
a couple of goals past us.
The hero of the match for me was our goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Alexandre Pato was linked on a number of occasions with potential transfers to Spain and England
as well as French club PSG. The figures which were discussed ranged from £35 to £45 million.
Milan seemed reluctant to release Pato and the young Brazilian remained with the club.
However, with the striker suffering from one injury after another, some have begun to express
their frustration with his numerous injuries.

After coming through a behind-closed doors training match last week, Carlos Tevez made his
competitive and public Man City return with the reserv.... sorry, the 'Elite Development
Squad' in a game against Bolton in the Manchester Senior Cup last night following his five
month jaunt in limboville.
Manchester City's Edin Dzeko recently had trouble memorizing his script in front
of the club's cameras, so he ordered everyone in the room to "LEAVE!" Of
course, a few of City's staff members weren't aware of these arrangements, so they continued filing
into the room, much to the amusement of the camera crew.
It's unlikely the truth about the row between Carlos Tevez and Roberto Mancini affair will ever be
known, but if at the end of the season the blue side of Manchester were to miss out by say a point
or even two, some hard questions may well be asked of the gaffer.
Unsurprisingly, his opposite number at Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson, at one congratulated him on
his handling of a mess from which nobody has emerged with any great credit, as those betting
Premiership money will know.
