Ah, it's that time of the year again and I simply love it. No, not Christmas, but the end of the
year lists that all end up being about the same everywhere you look. Seriously, I think every music
magazine has awarded album of the year to Kanye West, but that's a topic for another article.
Remember the great Manchester Billboard War of 2009? The ceasefire was never particularly observed

Roy Keane: not a tolerant man
You won't be surprised to know that Roy Keane can't stomach footballers who wear snoods, gloves
and tights:
"Don't get me started. I don't know how they do it. It's very strange. Gloves, scarves, I think
somebody came on a few weeks ago for [Manchester] City who had a hat on.
Silva is City's most important player
David Silva spent most of his debut for Manchester City being buffeted about the pitch by
Tottenham's Tom Huddlestone on the opening day of the season. Then it seemed like City's big summer
signing was not made for English football, where praise from pundits generally centres on a
player's pace, power and drive, rather than his vision or ball skills.
The Telegraph has used our alternative Carlos Tevez posters on their website.

This past weekend Heart Attack Ray Hudson issued an opine (2nd video) on Lionel Messi during
Barcelona's 5-1 thrashing of Espanyol....and recommended a little YouTube ditty on the star from
Catalan country (1st video) showcasing Messi's refusal to go down.
We would be remiss not to give Messi and Ray Hudson their just due, especially after we
witnessed Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli yesterday seemingly get blown over by the wind on
multiple occasions.
Here's some statistics showing the minutes per goal scored by some of the top strikers in our

Javier Hernandez (United)

The snood epidemic has gotten more billing than any foreign export in the Premier League since,
well, the last one. But it will have no place at Manchester United, where Sir Alex Ferguson has
laid down the law and firmly declared Old Trafford a snood-less football club. Because "real men
don't wear things like that".
As you're probably aware by now, Manchester City knocked back a (presumably ghost-) written
transfer request from their obstinate striker Carlos Tevez over the weekend, a
matter of days after he told the club's official website that he was 'happy with the sacrifices'
he'd been forced to make by committing himself to Sheikh Mansour's sideline in
über-capitalism.

In the Europa League last night Adam Johnson was excellent; again. Ask
anyone who has watched the Prem this season what City lack and they'll say spark and creativity.
Johnson is all spark and creativity, and not only that, he tracks back and harries far more than
most wingers do.
Didier Drogba has given Chelsea a 1-0 halftime lead over Everton, despite some strong defending
from the Toffees at Stamford Bridge. Phil Jagielka and Sylvain Distin played well for the first 45
minutes, but a lackadaisical Phil Neville back pass left Tim Howard stranded against the onrushing
Nicolas Anelka.
Carlos Tevez has handed in a transfer requestion to Manchester City with the hopes of joining
Real Madrid in January. This should come as no surprise, given that the blues' captain has
repeatedly spoke of his unhappiness since moving over to the blue side of Manchester.
Whilst at Manchester United, he initially talked of a long career with us, before returning to
Boca Juniors in his 30's.

Manchester City may be level with Arsenal on points at the top of the Premier league table, but
the club is far from over the moon after a recent request from their star striker. The Guardian is
reporting that Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has handed in a transfer request to leave
Manchester City.
Carlos Tevez has handed in a transfer request to Manchester City after just 18 months at the
club. He has claimed it is being homesick that has caused his depression and repeated talk of
retirement, but if that was the case, why was he trying to negotiate his contract at City? Despite
being the best paid player, he was looking for a pay rise, which the club refused to give him.
UPDATE: According to Manchester City's official website, Manchester
City striker Carlos Tevez has formally withdrawn his transfer
request.
December 12th, 2010 According to the UK Press Association, Manchester
City striker Carlos Tevez confirmed that he has handed in a transfer
request.
http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=1350615.html So Tevez hands in a
transfer request, which is rejected. But he states that he needs time to think (now?) and it
doesn't seem as if he will be available next week when City host Everton. I know we are all feeling
a bit burned after Balotelli's -2 yesterday.
By most accounts, a fun weekend in England's Premier League over the weekend. Best part about it,
it's not over yet with Manchester United and Arsenal clashing later Monday afternoon. The two
longtime rivals enter the match on 31 and 32 points respectively, even with Chelsea and Manchester
City.It all means, by about 5 o'clock on the East Coast we'll have a new league leader regardless

I haven't had the chance to look at the United game again or to even study the chalkboards and
there is plenty of chat on the internet about that, most of which is just zero-value noise, so I
thought it's best to leave that game aside for a day or two. I do want to discuss how Manchester
United have a much better organized collective defensive system (best in the League if not the best
in the world) but it'll take some work.
Any Chelsea supporter expecting the club to make a move for Carlo Tevez might want to rethink
the idea.
Teammates? Nah.
So the current Manchester City striker, formerly of Manchester United, has formally handed in a
transfer request. It was promptly rejected.
Carlos Tevez returns to training, talks set for Friday - ESPN SoccernetTevez is one of a number of
senior players to be rested [for Thursday's Europa League match against Juventus], although Mancini
has already indicated that former Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli will travel, even though he
was racially abused by some Juventus fans last season.

it's true. He is not licensed to represent footballers, but came to power by peddling in the

after the ownership rules changed.

That is the question that is being asked on our Barcelona fan site as there have been various
reports this week that Manchester City are poised to make a monster bid for Andres Iniesta next

handed out in Zurich on January 10 and the question is will he be a Barca player or a Man City
player?

Manchester City could be prepared to table a bid of £50 million to bring Liverpool's star striker

City are desperate to fill the boots of Carlos Tevez after it emerged recently that he wants out of
the Manchester club, according to The News of the World.
The new Strikers have big shoes to fill. Their prior name sakes were for the most part powerhouses,
with star players, great attendance and a record that boasts never missing the playoffs. Will this
new incarnation be up to par?

Just as Carlo Ancelotti yesterday spoke of Carlos Tevez and the "reported interest" in him from
Chelsea by saying:
"There are a lot of rumours but I think that everything will be okay with him and
Manchester City because he is a fantastic player. He is very important to City and I don't think
they can afford to let him go.

In what proved to be a highly entertaining Boxing Day encounter, Manchester City saw off a
resilient Newcastle side after a goal from Gareth Barry and Carlos Tevez inside the opening five
minutes of play. Newcastle will surely feel hard-done by after dominating the remaining eighty-five
minutes of play, far outnumbering their ridiculously-paid counterparts in terms of possession and
shots, but once again Carlos Tevez proved that without him, his current team would be sitting
comfortably in mid-table mediocrity.
A Boxing Day error by Tim Krul gifted Carlos Tevez the ball and it led to a goal for Gareth
Barry in the opening minutes. Another defensive lapse saw the Argentinian sprint by Fabricio
Colocinni and get his foot onto a James Milner cross to stick the ball into the net. Two goals and
the game was not even five minutes old.
A Mario Balotelli hat-trick has seen Manchester City to the summit of
the EPL if only for a few hours ahead of Neighbours Manchester United's trip to Birmingham
later to-night. City coasted to a 4-0 victory over a relegation threatened
Aston Villa side who were no match for the hosts, Joeleen Lescott got the other City goal
in this total mismatch which seen both Carlos Tevez and Gareth Barry sit out the
game.
