According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are the favorites to sign Karim
Benzema. Call it simple process of elimination more than breaking news, but here goes. Real Madrid,
the club that the Lyon star has been a fan of since childhood, would appear to be out of the race
for the [.
Today's transfer round-up throws up some pretty spicy news indeed. A couple of them are sort of
drag-ons, follow-ups rather, but there has been a rather interesting development, or shall we say,
a retrogressive development, as far as Liverpool are concerned..... Real Madrid Still Hunting
Carlos Tevez Spanish and European powerhoue Real Madrid are in desperate need [.
So it's been going for ages, Man Utd's Tevez saga has gone on almost as long as West Ham's saga
with the same little man. Everyone has been speaking this last month and a bit about whether Utd
will decide to buy him, if he is worth €30M and in fact does he even want to stay at Utd
given the amount of benchwarming he's done as of late?
If Carlos Tevez wants to be a starter for Manchester United, he needs to be more clinical in front
of goal. Against Danish side Aalborg on Wednesday night in the Champions League, Tevez blew several
chances to put the game out of the gutsy Aalborg's reach. Instead the match ended 2-2, securing
United's position as [.
Champions League Match Day 6
Old Trafford, Manchester, England
Kickoff @ 2:45 PM EST
What's at Stake:
Essentially, very little. Aalborg (AaB) is already ensured a UEFA Cup spot, and and United has
already secured promotion to the next round.
Reigning Spanish champions and European powerhouse Real Madrid are seemingly inching closer to
signing Argentine international Carlos Tevez from defending Premier League and European champions
Manchester United, according to latest reports. The Madrid giants have declared that they shall
make a few signings in January in the wake of their star striker Ruud van Nistelrooy being [.
What a pair of pricks we had on show tonight at Old Trafford. As if Paul Ince's appearance wasn't
enough, Blackburn dragged that fat scouse bastard Robbie Fowler along with them. Must admit, it
feels good to knock those two out of a cup! Read on for all our goals against Blackburn to put us
through [.
Pulsating match, eight goals - what more could you want? Just watch and enjoy and wonder how - of
all the matches so far this season - Blackburn fans thought this was the most appropriate game to
call for Paul Ince's head. It could easily have been 4-4. United's sublime passing move for their
fourth and Carlos [.
So, I guess ManUtd.com can stop writing articles where the theme is "United Captain Gary
Neville will use this as an opportunity to reclaim his spot in the regular starting eleven."
Wayne wrote it yesterday, and it remains true today: Rafael is now, officially, the preferred
choice at right back. What that means for brother Fabio and England International Wes Brown (who is
still apparently on the team) remains to be seen.
The future of Carlos Tevez has been debated over the past few months, with no long-term contract
for the player being offered as yet. Whilst the club have remained calm, insisting that a deal
would be sorted in December, the press keeps linking our Argie with moves abroad. Today, Tevez has
made it quite clear he [.

Points to Ponder Prior to Yet Another Thrilling 1-0 United Victory
1 - Are United beginning to find their form or beginning to continue to scrape by?
Manchester United thrashed Paul Ince's Blackburn 5-3 in the League Cup, with Carlos Tevez getting
his name on the scoresheet four times. Having lost his first team place since the arrival of
Dimitar Berbatov, Tevez was keen to make an impression on Sir Alex Ferguson whenever he was given a
chance, which he certainly did.

There are some interesting rumors floating out there today. Is Lukas Podolski staying or going? Are
Everton looking for a new striker? Are Tottenham looking to replace Gomes as their goalkeeper? What
big name could be heading to the U.S.? And are Manchester City preparing to shatter the transfer
record [.

A Few Points to Ponder Prior to Kickoff
I don't entirely know what to expect from this Blackburn squad.
United 1 – Blackburn 0 (Carlos Tevez)
United 2 – Blackburn 0 (Nani)
United 2 – Blackburn 1 (McCarthy)
United 3 – Blackburn 1 (Tevez – Penalty)
United 4 – Blackburn 1 (Tevez)
United 4 – Blackburn 2 (Derbyshire)
United 4 – Blackburn 3 (McCarthy)
United 5 – Blackburn 3 (Tevez)
Not entirely sure how I feel about us letting Blackburn back into it in the final minutes.
During the summer Sir Alex Ferguson gave an interview which referred to our main title challengers,
Chelsea. Rather than claiming they were too old to win the league, as the headlines reported the
following day, Ferguson questioned how much room for improvement there was in a team whose best
players were in the 30's.
All fans of Carlos Tevez and reigning Premier League and European champions Manchester United can
now heave a huge sigh of relief. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has declared that contract talks
with the Argentine international striker are currently in motion. Tevez is actually on loan from
MSI for until the end of the season and [.
Manchester United seem reluctant to tie up the permanent transfer of Carlos Tevez, but is it the
credit crunch or has Fergie set his sights on someone else in the summer?
The Argentinian frontman has been linked with a switch to Real Madrid this week, but with the La
Liga giants closing in on Klaas Jan Huntelaar that rumour can be put to bed, but still Tevez's
future in Manchester looks far from assured.
Last Friday's Gazzetta dello Sport frontpage reads, Tevez, Aguero and Drogba: Signings for
January meanwhile Corriere dello Sport mentioned Drogba's call to Inter: "I am having the
worst time of my career at Chelsea" and how about these headlines from across the net, AC
Milan are reportedly interested in signing Flamengo's talented shot stopper as they chase Bruno
Inter Milan [.
So, I thought I put a post up Sunday afternoon, but apparently it didn't go through so here we
are. I watched this match in a crowded bar surrounded by American football fans who were screaming
for their various college teams. So, when Vidic knocked in the late winner and every other screen
was at commercial, the other patrons were a bit confused why four people in the corner of the bar
were screaming at the top of their lungs.
