Well, well, if the montage of the nine goals scored the last time these two teams met in New York
doesn't amp you up for this game, I don't know what will.

Actually, besides Jozy, I think the player that New York will miss in this game is Clint Mathis.
Two come from behind goals to tie the game, one goal for the lead, and the home result? Zero
points. Ouch.
Last year, Bruce Arena was highly criticized for his inability to field a
consistent squad week in and week out. Coach Osorio is beginning to get an earful
for the same.
Taking some well deserved time to goof off, a few Red Bulls players participated in an Iron Chef
Cook Off at the infamous ESPNZone in Times Square. Each team was given thirty
minutes to put together a dish, accompanied by a chef to guide them along. They would then be
judged by a media panel that included reknowned pulitzer prize winning food critics, and on the
other end of the spectrum - my personal fave - Shep Messing.
Jeff Parke is injured. Gabriel Chicero is suspended. Just how will the New York Red Bulls continue
their five-match unbeaten streak against Western Division leaders Houston on Sunday (3p, TF)?
Adding benched Norway-bound D Hunter Freeman may be the answer. On August 13th, Freeman signed with
IK Start of Norway, though he won't join the club until January.
RED BULLS PREVIEW - 2008
Let me begin by saying - this is completely based on the team as currently configured. I know April
15th is right around the corner, and 2 signings can change everything, but this is the current
situation.
With that said . . .
Lets begin with a Haiku . .
Kansas City Wizards 2 New York Red Bulls 1: Frankly to me the first half was not even a
competitive contest. As I said in the chat at the time, I almost saw no reason to bother with the
second half at all. LukeSassano epically was a waste of space and it was no surprise to me that he
did not see any action at all in the second half.
Goodbye Carolina Challenge Cup.
Once again, Bulls fans everywhere were treated to a snoozefest of a preseason tournament game, as
we managed to tie the supposed "lowly" TFC 1-1. And in doing so, we helped clinch this years
tournament winner, the San Jose "We are Expansion, Remember?" Earthquakes.

OVERVIEW:
Welcome to game 1! We are dealing with some injuries, starting up to 2 rookies, and are
beginning our season a week ahead of everyone else. Good times.
The Cows are in town, headed by Schelotto, Moreno and Gaven.
Let the Mini Clasico Begin!
CURRENT STANDING:
We havent even played a game .
Who says we need to pilfer Chicago for all our acquisitions?
Jorge Rojas, 30, a Venezuelan National veteran with 78 caps to his name, and the infamous Chris
Innes, former captain of the bankrupt and dying Gretna FC of SPL, are now on trial with the Red
Bulls.
I knew there was ...
A tale of two halves is an expression that has probably been used and abused more than my
favorite pair of socks. But how else can you describe tonites debacle?
The first half was dynamic, the second, sporadic. And as a result, the Bulls extend their
winless streak to ...

"Andrea, why aren't you at the game?"
1. Gas is expensive.

So TV running blog it is.
