Sergio Aguero scored a historical winner for Manchester City 10 seconds from the final whistle.Villareal went ahead of CIty within a couple of minutes of the game starting.They came back into the game through an own goal from Carlos Marchena and then that glorious winner from Aguero.

Sergio Aguero rescued Manchester City with a goal with the last kick of the game as the UEFA Champions League newcomers retained hope of advancing to the knockout rounds with a 2-1 win over Villarreal.

Pablo Zabaleta fired a low cross in front of goal in the third minute of stoppage time and David Silva failed to make contact at the near post but the ball found its way to Aguero, who made no mistake from close range.

It took two second-half goals from Giuseppe Rossi, but Villarreal finally were able to get past Danish side Odense, and advance to the Champions League group stage.

Rossi who was linked with a move to Juventus this summer, got in front of his marker to open the scoring five minutes after halftime and then rifled in a brilliant volley in the 66th minute.

Villarreal will play in the Champions League group stages for the third time thanks in part to two second-half goals from Giuseppe Rossi against Odense.

For 50 minutes at El Madrigal it was the Stefan Wessels show as the goalkeeper did his utmost to preserve OB's 1-0 first-leg lead. Once Rossi scored for the sixth successive European home game, however, the hosts' momentum proved impossible to resist.
