Now we are very happy to hear that Carlo Cudicini is well on the mend after his horror bike
accident. To help him recover and indeed so the rest of you can have a good gander, here is a
former conquest of the Tottenham keeper and I think you'll all agree she is a very attractive
woman, even when made to pose under a very large leaf (see below).

Can be a very useful asset at White Hart Lane. Luka Modric was spectacular last night, again
looking worth every penny of that £16.5m we paid. He looks a lot more effective at the Lane
where he probably gets more time on the ball and more freedom but there are no two ways about it,
he's quality.
Obviously, Stoke at home is a game we should be winning comfortably but considering the position we
are in currently, the pressure on the players last night was huge.
Carlo Cudicini, the Tottenham goalkeeper, fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis after being
involved in a road accident this morning. A spokesman for London's Metropolitan police said the

Matt Upson is a player Harry Redknapp is very keen on. He had an enquiry rebuffed in January but
will be going back with a further approach in the summer. Although the Tottenham defence is solid,
Redknapp believes he still needs another top class centre half especially if his side make it into
Europe next season.

One in, one out.
Not much new news this morning, the latest being the casualties from yesterday's Europa League
matches. Those claimed Andy Johnson and will force Jack Rodwell and Steven Pienaar into the
dreaded "late fitness test".
Spurs have lost Gomes for a while and so Cudicini will sit behind their make-shift back line.
No love lost!
Chelsea's Joe Cole will not be involved as boss Carlo Ancelotti is saving him for the
Carling Cup match with QPR.
Didier Drogba and Jose Bowsingwa will both return to the side after their Champions League

A few more slightly interesting transfers happening in the Premier League again today, with Spurs
already having signed Carlo Cudicini they have also gone back to former employee Pascal Chimbonda
in a rather surprising move. Seems to be one step forward and one step back at White Hart Lane,
really don't see why they would [.
What is it with Spurs keepers? It doesn't seem to matter which goalkeeper Harry Redknapp picks, the
end result is the same. Heurelho Gomes has become a comedy figure after his string of howlers this

some high-profile blunders of [.

It always comes as a bit of a shock: The number of English players in the 2002 squad:

It puts into context the snide criticism of Wenger as one of the culprits held responsible for
undermining the national game by encouraging the foreign invasion.

that many of us assumed would happen each season for the past three. However, it never did as
Carlo's loyatly to the Blues continued to shine.
Tottenham announced today that they have successfully signed both Pascal Chimbonda, and Carlo
Cudicini from Sunderland and Chelsea. In Chimbonda's case I guess he really missed White Hart Lane
because he just left only 6 months ago and now he's back. For Cudicini, he was most likely brought
in to challenge Gomes for some playing time seeing how Gomes has been in awful form for what seems
like forever.

in the win at Hull City.

Apart from a Paul Scholes sending off, this was a very impressive Manchester United performance.
United bounced back from the shock of conceding a goal within the first minute, pushing for an
equaliser as soon as, and for the duration of the game, even after ten men down, were pretty
organised and unlike the Arsenal game were not lacking any attacking ideas.
So much for that then. The sizzling atmosphere generated by the White Hart Lane crowd worked in
part for Jermain Defoe's sensational opener but United's multiple Premier League winning experience
was simply too much of a barrier for us to break down. First defeat of the season. It's the end of
the world.
Tim Howard played a blinder in his first season at United, so much so, he was named PFA Keeper
of the Year. It is important to note he fought off competition from Jens Lehmann who had just
enjoyed an unbeaten season with Arsenal and Chelsea's Carlo Cudicini, who both conceded fewer goals
than him.
