Newly appointed Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas arrives at Stamford Bridge from FC Porto with
very little managerial experience, but a growing reputation that usurps even the most accomplished
of European coaches. Awaiting the young Portuguese tactician, the toughest job in football – not
the act of managing Chelsea Football Club, but the unenviable task of satisfying Roman Abramovich's
ambition.
There is an absolutely amazing interview with Cesc Fabregas Spanish magazine Don Balon in which
the Gunners captain blast Arsene Wenger.
Here are some of his comments:
"It [Wenger's position] is now easier to understand because I've been here for many years," said
Fabregas.
Guus Hiddink won the FA cup with Chelsea in 2009. Is he the right man for the Blues again?
As Chelsea FC lick their wounds after ending the 2010-11 season empty handed, much speculation
continues as to the identity of the club's new coach following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti.
Much of the current speculation is pointing towards Guus Hiddink which is far from surprising
considering that he led the club to FA Cup success in a caretaker capacity during the 2008-09
season after "Big Phil" Scolari was sacked by the club's owner Roman Abramovitch.
By Chris Wright
Yes, this really happened
It's a fairly widely known secret that Chelsea are desperate to install Guus Hiddink as their
new/old manager, and it looks like they've been taking the 'Abramovich Expressway' in order to do
so i.
Early today an article stating ex-Chelsea legend Marcel Desailly caught my attention as he claimed
that the reason Carlo Ancelotti was sacked was purely because he couldn't get the best out of
Fernando Torres and nothing else.
Now straight away I thought to myself "Are you for real!
Manchester United take on Barcelona in the Champions League final on May 28 at Wembley, with the
Red Devils looking to win the double after clinching the Premier League title against Blackburn.
With the Spanish side on scintillating form and BetUS sportsbook publishing odds favouring the
Catalan side, we must not forget the collective strength, experience and will to win of Sir Alex
Ferguson's team or write them off; here are some recent reminders of their abilities.
The Goodison Park stairwell where Carlo Ancelotti was reportedly sacked is a warm and friendly
part of the ground, where veteran doormen in blazers exchange pleasantries with old school
Evertonians and Bill Kenwright, the club's chairman, floats through dispensing bonhomie.
It is a place, in other words, of decorum and permanence and not the kind of area where a
thoroughly capable manager would expect to be dispatched moments after being allowed to say, in a
post-match press conference, that a meeting would be held next week to discuss his future.

With Leonardo's exit, the Inter coaching job has opened up. So far their search has
foundered.
Andre Villas- Boas is Chelsea bound. Fabio Capello's son confirms Inter made an approach for the

Jose Mourinho issued a remarkable come and get me plea to Premier League sides last night after
seeing hisReal Madrid side beat Sevilla 1-0 victory in the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg last
night.
Speaking after the game Mourinho said:
"I've decided to return to England.
Perhaps the two classiest teams of the past 20 years are Barcelona of today and AC Milan of the
early 90's.
What if they played today? Jonathan Wilson breaks down the hypothetical match-up.
Should Barcelona win the Champions League this year, though, it would have good claim to be the
best side since Sacchi's.
Probable contenders for Villa Park hotseat - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Gerard Houllier's mutual departure from Aston Villa last week has left us all guessing as to who
will take over the reins at Villa Park. Normally we would have a fair idea as to who that will be,
but at the moment it is anyone's guess who will be implemented by Chairman Randy Lerner.
I thought that Peter Kenyon said some stupid things when he was at Chelsea, but the comments by
Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay surpass anything that Kenyon ever said.
Gourlay was in Asia ahead of Chelsea's tour there this summer and was asked about Chelsea firing
Carlo Ancelotti one year after he won the double.

- He's 52-years-old and hails from Italy, was unceremoniously sacked from Chelsea after winning
the double and his personal life rivals a good daytime soap opera. But we still love us some Carlo
Ancelotti, despite his new unidentified Jerry Hall look-alike-from-afar new gal pal that he was
papped all around Venice with.
Chelsea new boy Fernando Torres said he left Liverpool because they were a club in transition and a
long way from delivering the success he craves.
Torres, 26, signed for a British record £50m on Monday, said: "Things had changed a lot in the
last year.
"I think they have great ambition and they are doing the right things to get back, but it will take
time.
Yes I thought the same as you lot for a split second and thought to myself SHIT!!!. Then, I came
back down to earth and realised that this report is total rubbish in my opinion.
The Guardian is reporting that Roman Abramovich will revamp the squad in a complete overhaul this
coming summer.
He's played against the very best in the world for years, yet Ashley Cole will not have had a
harder afternoon's work than he did at Old Trafford last Sunday. For the last decade, against the
best the Premiership, European and International teams have had to offer in the shape of right
wingers, he has more often than not, dealt with consummately.
After being knocked out in the last eight of the Champions League, Chelsea have finished in
second place, Carlo Ancelotti has been fired and along with an ageing side; the cracks now visible
at Stamford Bridge may be a bigger than they appear.
On Sunday 22nd Chelsea Football Club made an announcement that stated "Chelsea Football Club
can confirm that Carlo Ancelotti parted company with the club today".
LONDON, England Harry Redknapp has already pulled off the transfer coup of the summer, sources have
told ESPNsoccernet, by snatching Barcelona youngster Cristian Ceballos from under the noses of
Chelsea. Ceballos, 16, was hailed as Barcelona's new superstar four years ago when he became an
internet sensation, featuring in a video juggling a ball [.

Well, at least one American national team won its friendly this weekend.
The U.S. women's national team won its final tune-up before the start of the World Cup, topping
Mexico, 1-0, at Red Bull Arena on Sunday. Lauren Cheney scored a splendid goal from distance in
second-half stoppage time to give the Americans the win.
Having been heavily linked with Arsenal, As Roma and Aston Villa in recent days, former
Chelsea's manager, Carlo Ancelotti, simply squashed away all of those rumors after the tactician
stated that he will take a break from coaching job next season.
Ancelotti stated that he doesn't want to rush things and preferred to take his time for the time
being, watching football behind the scenes before returning again into the driving seat.
Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti plans to take a season-long sabbatical before he coaches
again.
Ancelotti tells Turin daily La Stampa that
"I enjoyed my experience in England, but next year I will not manage any team. Apart from a
six-month break, I have been working constantly since 1995.
Chelsea flop Fernando Torres has spoken of his horrible maiden season at Stamford Bridge
for the first time and admitted that the season was the worst ever he has endured whilst in
England.
The Spaniard joined Chelsea during the January transfer window for £50million in a move which
was supposed to allow the former Atletico Madrid star to blossom and begin to accumulate the club
honours which as of yet have eluded him.
FC Porto have denied that current boss Andre Villas-Boas is set to join Chelsea amidst
mounting speculation that the highly-rated coach is to be unveiled as the new Blues
boss.
According to reports, Chelsea are set to move for the current FC Porto boss with The
Times in particular reporting that Jose Mourinho's former assistant is ready to leave the
Portuguese champions and follow in the ‘Special One's' footsteps and sign for Chelsea.
I think the question we are asking ourselves with the news today that it looks more or less certain
that Andre Villas-Boas will be named the new Chelsea manager very soon is:
Can he handle the big ego's at Chelsea?
The general consensus of opinion outside of Stamford Bridge is that there are certain players who
hold some clout within that dressing room and seeing someone come to "manage" them being the same
age could cause problems.
The Chelsea coaching turnstiles have churned once more.
The Blues have become somewhat notorious in recent years due to the high turnover rate at the
managerial position. Since Roman Abramovich took over the club in 2003, there have been
seven different Chelsea managers. That's seven managers in eight years, or a new manager
every 1.
The kiss of death.
Nightmares of 2007.
Grossly disappointing. I'm actually kind of pissed off, not just with the way we conceded
another late leveler against Aston Villa, either. That's the same Aston Villa who have done fuck
all over the past month or so (kind of like us).
Croatian International, Nico Krancar, 26, looks likely to leave Tottenham in January
after the club stated that a bid of around 9 million would be accepted...
Bio: Despite continued speculation that he would move to Arsenal, Nico chose to
leave Hajduk Split for Portsmouth in 2006.
Still like Salomon and Nic over this young lad, Carlo?
Yeah, you probably do. Dammit.
Chelsea manager donates to Help the Aged It will please Chelsea fans that Carlo Ancelotti is
interested in the youth players that his club is bringing through, and that the Italian manager
wanted to take in the FA Youth Cup game between his side and Arsenal. Ancelotti was, however, put
in his place. With 15,000 [.
A week so full of promise ends in new lows. Plunge into this bitter chasm with me as we relive
how a well-drilled, but far from lethal Liverpool grabbed a deserved win over an utterly useless
Chelsea side at Stamford Bridge. Has it really come to this?
Dalglish 1-0 Ancelotti
The lead-up was phenomenal.
The vast majority of football supporters and the sporting media are human beings. This difficult
fact means that the gap between perception of events and the reality of them is often very wide
indeed. Take Wednesday's Champions League tie between Arsenal and Barcelona as an example. Arsenal
have had acres of column inches written about them in praise for their victory over the Catalan
giants a team who are considered to be the greatest in the world – if not the greatest of all
time.

Things Jose doesn't miss about Chelsea No.1: Seb Coe's massive Tory face
With reports continuing to circulate that current incumbent Carlo Ancelotti is one draw away
from the sack at Stamford Bridge, former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has issued a timely reminder
that he is still very much 'in love' with the club.
It's time
Teams
Chelsea
Cech; Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Essien, Lampard, Zhirkov, Drogba, Torres. Subs:
Turnbull, Benayoun, Mikel, Malouda, Ferreira, Kalou, Anelka.
Manchester United
Van der Sar, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Park,
Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Rooney, Hernandez.
But what would happen if the teams played each other? Both probably produced their greatest
displays in beating Real Madrid 5-0, Barcelona earlier this season; AC Milan in the European Cup
semifinal in 1989 (both, oddly, also drew 1-1 in the Bernabeu the same season). So let's take the
lineups from those two games and pit them against each other.
Chelsea vs Birmingham City 2011 20 April 2011- 20/4/11- Stamford Bridge- 19.45 UK Final score:-
Chelsea vs Birmingham 3-1 ( Malouda*2, Kalou/ Larsson pen) Chelsea easily overcome Birmingham 3-1
at home thanks to a brace from French winger Florent Malouda. Carlo Ancelotti's men are now six
points behind Man Utd with this 3-1 win over [.
Carlo Ancelotti rejected Jose Mourinho's claims of bias towards Barcelona from Referee's and talk
of any sort of conspiracy. When asked about the game the other night that saw a Jose Mourinho side
reduced to 10-men against Barcelona once again, Carlo was quick to point out his point of view
which was very different to Jose's.
Could Gianfranco Zola be making his way back to Stamford Bridge as Carlo Ancelotti's new number two
in the summer?. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, they believe that if Carlo Ancelotti stays at the
club and move into his third season at the club, he will ask for Zola to come back as his
assistant.
