Saturday morning Landon Donovan will arrive in Goodison Park to begin his loan spell with
Everton. As he settles into his seat and watches his new team take on Carlisle United in the FA
Cup, he will be working on his checklist of what he wants to accomplish over the next 75 days.
This loan spell at Everton, along with his performance in South Africa this summer, will be
critical in determining the future direction of Donovan's career, and he knows there are a number

land ashore at England's northwest port city on Saturday, but he will not participate in the club's
third round FA Cup match against Carlisle United.

St. Etienne will hit the road on Saturday for the second time this season, but for Carlos
Bocanegra the match against Stade Rennes will be somewhat of a homecoming.
After failing to make the game-day roster last week, Bocanegra will likely suit up to play
against his former club and teammates as Saint Etienne looks for a second consecutive victory.
The Sunday Sun is reporting this morning that Newcastle are back on the trail of Carlisle United's
Gateshead-born striker Gary Madine. Gary Madine Newcastle interested in this lad? Peter Beardsley
has watched Madine three times already this season, and was at Brunton Park last weekend to see

much of the preliminary roster that will be announced early next week is already known, there is

3rd Round, they welcomed American and MLS Star Landon Donovan to Goodison Park. Donovan arrived at
the stadium to watch the second half of the match will officially sign the contract for the loan
deal on Monday morning.

According to Chelsea's official website, Chelsea midfielder Tom
Taiwo permanently signed with Carlisle United for an undisclosed fee.
Taiwo signed a two-and-a-half year deal.

Frank Simek is now a member of Carlisle United in England's League One, the third level of English
professional soccer. Simek's contract with Sheffield Wednesday ended at the end of the 2009-10
season. He signed with the club for the 2005-06 season and made 119 appearances scoring twice. "I
had a couple of conversations with the manager and I liked the things that I heard," Simek told the
club's official site.
After five seasons at Sheffield Wednesday, defender Frank Simek now has a new home after signing
with English League One club Carlisle United.
