Landon Donovan's proposed loan move to English club Everton is gaining momentum, and it is starting to look more and more like the U.S. national team's two best players will be club teammates come the new year.

Everton has now confirmed that it is in talks to bring the U.

Cheltenham Town FC has been relegated to the fourth tier of the English football league system after the club's 1-1 draw against Carlisle United at Abby Business Stadium. The club will compete in Coca-Cola League Two for the 2009-10 season.

Everton FC formally announced the completion of the Landon Donovan loan move on Friday, clearing the way for the U.S. men's national team star to make his temporary move to the English Premier League.
