So it's been going for ages, Man Utd's Tevez saga has gone on almost as long as West Ham's saga
with the same little man. Everyone has been speaking this last month and a bit about whether Utd
will decide to buy him, if he is worth €30M and in fact does he even want to stay at Utd
given the amount of benchwarming he's done as of late?
Arsenal's reserves taken down a peg or two There is no point getting us all excited by thrashing
Sheffield United and Wigan if you are going to lose to Burnley. And Lukas Fabianski - one of the
stars of the young Gunners campaign thus far - handed the Clarets their opener by very kindly
pushing the [.
Pulsating match, eight goals - what more could you want? Just watch and enjoy and wonder how - of
all the matches so far this season - Blackburn fans thought this was the most appropriate game to
call for Paul Ince's head. It could easily have been 4-4. United's sublime passing move for their
fourth and Carlos [.
The draw for the semi-finals of the 2008/2009 Carling Cup have been announced. Current holders
Tottenham Hotspur will take on Burnley, while Manchester United faces Derby County. The semi-finals
will be a two leg affair. The first leg will be played on January 5th and the return leg on the
19th. So I guess it'll be an [.

Burnley is a long established club that was one of the original founders of the football league.
Mark Randall went there on loan and Legend Ian Wright even played for the Clarets after he left
Celtic. They have done well in the Carling Cup so far, and their defeat of [...]
For the Arsenal to lose 2-0 against Burnley may sound bizarre, but of course, one has to look at
the big picture and appreciate the effort and determination the young ones put into this season's
Carling Cup. I did agree with Wenger's policy to stick with the reserve side and maybe, just maybe,
the only [.
Some call it the "Mickey Mouse Cup." Others still call it the "League Cup."
Whatever name it goes by, The Carling Cup is becoming a critical part of football culture. Fans of
the bigger clubs may mock this statement, but whether or not you want to admit it, the Carling Cup
has now captured some of the classic FA Cup magic.

With the sweet memories of the win over Chelsea fading, the mid-week Carling Cup fixture is upon
us today. But before that, a few more thoughts from this past weekend. While it is a great result
indeed, Arsenal still has much to prove. This is the second win over a "big four" squad
this season, but that doesn't subtract the five losses that this team has already suffered - two
more than last season.
In a very entertaining and open first half, Burnley took full advantage of a Fabiansky mistake to
end the first half ahead at Turf Moor. The match started brightly for Arsenal and after just four
minutes, Nicklas Bendtner was through on goal but his shot was well saved by Jensen, who like
Wigan's Kirkland in the [.

I fully understand that from what we saw so far, the Carling Cup was a good bite at silverware this
season, but remember, for Arsenal, it's just a prototype of what the regular side is supposed to be
in a season or two. Had we lost a match in which we were outplayed, outpaced and [...]

A Few Points to Ponder Prior to Kickoff
I don't entirely know what to expect from this Blackburn squad.

United 1 – Blackburn 0 (Carlos Tevez)

United 2 – Blackburn 1 (McCarthy)

United 4 – Blackburn 2 (Derbyshire)
United 4 – Blackburn 3 (McCarthy)
United 5 – Blackburn 3 (Tevez)
Not entirely sure how I feel about us letting Blackburn back into it in the final minutes.
Four teams. One common goal: March 1st. For those of you who don't know, March 1st is the date of
the Carling Cup final. There are only 4 teams left fighting for a chance to be playing on that
date. There are two Premier League teams and two Championship teams left. Premiership
Talk breaks down each team: Manchester United After the show that United put on against
Blackburn, it's hard to say anything against them winning the Cup.
Can Man United really win the quadruple this season? I don't think we will, I think that we will be
lucky to win two trophies let alone four. I can see this season being a hard one to win anything
in... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more!

I have one word to say to those amongst us that are getting carried away with the Redknapp
Revolution. As President Elect of the Getting Carried Away Fellowship I am having it tatood on my
arm in that new semi permanent tattoo process, guarranteed to disappear when we get out of the
bottom half. That word, fellow sufferers, is 'Fulham'.

Arsenal's Carling Cup campaign came to an end on Tuesday night at Turf Moor when they were beaten

Owen Coyle rode his luck and his side completed Capital Punishment III with a performance worthy of
