but his latest adventure is coming straight out of the box labelled 'Eh?

SLEIGH-BELLS, tinsel, flashing bulbs, mistletoe, massive queues at the bar and bedlam on the car
parks. Yes, it's nearly another transfer window. This time last year Fernando Torres was yet to
really become the talk of the window although this time last year Roy Hodgson was still Liverpool
boss.

IT'S that time of year again: the Christmas tree is up or at least threatening to be, the snow
is falling or at least threatening to, and the streets are packed with frantic shoppers threatening
to do things to the next person to get in their way as they search frantically for the ideal
pressie for their loved ones, never quite sure if the loved one in question already has that
particular one anyway.
Last week, this column rather took on the personality of a stranger hugging, gurning young
gadabout; imploring all fellow dance floor dwellers to "let the beat take you higher, man." With
two rather lukewarm results since that mini era of jaw flapping euphoria, it's fair to say this
week has been something of a comedown.
