Charlie Davies has been released from the hospital and is progressing well in his recovery since a terrible car accident in October. The American striker was on the rise after proving himself in Europe, scoring consistently for the USA National Team, and contributing for Sochaux in Ligue 1. He suffered significant injuries from the car crash and most figured a recovery in time for next summer's World Cup Finals unrealistic.

Recently, ESPN's Jeremy Schaap sat down with American striker Charlie Davies for his first interview since his horrific car crash in October 2009. Davies is very optimistic about his recovery and the chances that he can be fit by June 2010 for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. He's already started his rehab for is injuries and says in the interview that he's ahead of schedule and there's reason to be optimistic.
