The Sons of Ben announced on Friday that co-founder Brian James has stepped down as president of
the Philadelphia Union supporters group.
Matt Ansboro, the vice-president under James, will take over as president of the supporters
group. Gameday capo Core Furlan will be the new vice-president.
Back in 2009 my seatmates and I decided that the four of us would have five seats. We did this
to take girlfriends/wives, but also with the knowledge that we could expose some friends to the
game who had not appreciated it live and local. While none grew into season ticket holders, several
now watch the matches on TV come to a few games a year and generally enjoy the sport.

During the group's end of year business meeting on Saturday, ECS Co-President Greg Mokos revealed
several changes for the 2012 season that will take their gameday presence to a whole new level.
Chief among the changes are ECS formally expanding into the upper sections of 121-123.

This is our first Thanksgiving here at Stumptown Footy and, hot damn, it's been a pretty wild
ride! Despite each of our fairly hectic schedules between school, work, other sites we might write
