January 1936: QPR Mark the Death of the Queen's Grandfather, King George V
Bushman Writes Queen Elizabeth II's Grandfather George V died on the 20th January 1936.
His passing was marked in the Rangers programme v Swindon Town on the 25th January 1936. The programme, printed in black as opposed to the usual Blue of matchday programmes for that season.

RICHMOND, Va. - Another week, another award for William and Mary Tribe women's soccer standout Mallory Schaffer, as the junior midfielder was honored as the CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's soccer, the conference office announced on Monday.

Each year Major League Soccer holds it's Player Combine leading up to the MLS Draft to give coaches and scouts an up close look at possible draft picks.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Virginia seniors Hunter Jumper (Plano, Texas) and Brian Ownby (Glen Allen, Va.

Ashley Botts (Beloit) has perfectly combined success in athletics and academics.

The Grand Valley State (Mich.) junior forward was named the Capital One Academic All-America of the Year for NCAA Division II women's soccer.

Botts, a biology major, has a 3.64 grade-point average and is the leading scorer for the top-ranked Lakers (20-0-4), who will play St.

Three Wisconsin natives were named to the inaugural NCAA Division III Capital One Academic All-American teams.

UW-La Crosse senior defender Kristin Brown (Madison La Follette) and Edgewood College junior forward Elaine Gerry (Sauk Prairie) made the first team on the women's side, while Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.

Wisconsin is well represented on the Capital One Academic all-district men's and women's soccer teams.

Thirty-two players from the state were named to the honor teams across the country, split into eight regions, and are now eligible for Academic All-American teams.

This year, there are four divisions: Division I, Division II, Division III and the College Division, which is for NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.
