Harry Redknapp is a free man.
Redknapp and Sheffield Wednesday owner Milan Mandaric were acquitted of tax evasion charges
after being found not guilty of avoiding to pay taxes on payments made into an offshore account in
Monaco between 2002 and 2007, when both men were at Portsmouth.
Redknapp's version of Usain Bolt's iconic celebration was lacking in many areas. In the aftermath of
the chaos that was February 9th 2012, no-one could discuss the position of Tottenham manager with
any certainty. Harry Redknapp, the current incumbent, began the day with the verdict of a court
case for tax evasion hanging over his head yet, come the day's completion, his immediate and medium
term future was the most speculated upon in all the land.
On Saturday morning, I saw the list of potential managers for the England National Team now that
it finds itself without a coach. The Euro 2012 is not too far away now, and the eyes of the world
are on England, waiting to see who will take the helm amidst the international controversy. I
couldn't help but wonder that Arsene's name was on the list, so I had to do a bit of digging to
determine the probability of his being selected for the coveted job.

It's been 7 days since the beginning of the Dragon Year – and here we are 7 points ahead of Barca
in the league table. Our 3-1 over Zaragoza and Barca's 0-0 (their first scoreless game in 15
matches) made sure of that. In a league where the margins of error between a league title or a
bridesmaid finish is a hairline, 7 points is gold – it gives us that all-important precious
margin for error: to account for that somewhat inevitable match that will see us drop points
against a Levante, Sporting or.
The 2012 European Championship commences exactly four months from today, and England is looking
for a new manager.
In a monumental development, Fabio Capello resigned from the helm of the English national team
on Wednedsay. Capello had been public in his defense of John Terry after the FA stripped the
Chelsea centerback of his international captaincy amid his involvement in a racial abuse
scandal.
After the FA decided to strip John Terry of the England captaincy for the second time in two
years over a charge for which he has not yet been tried, Fabio Capello has decided that he's had
enough of being disrespected and undermined and resigned from his position. With Euro 2012 mere
months away, FA chairman David Bernstein must find a suitable replacement to lead England out of
the current cycles of scandals and disappointment.
1. If Terry had his armband removed on a principle of guilty until proved innocent, how come
Harry's name wasn't out of the equation when he was charged? 2. Why did the FA not consult Capello
before removing the captaincy from John Terry? 3. If Fabio was not shamed of his opinion, why did
he [...]
"Realistically, we are out of the competition." Arsene Wenger.
Arsene Wenger described last night's 4-0 defeat as both "shocking" and the team's worst-ever
performance in Europe, by far. One might wonder why Arsene finally chose to throw the whole team
under the proverbial bus. Despite an inconsistent season that has fluctuated somewhere on the
spectrum between mediocre and truly phenomenal, Arsene has remained resolutely confident that his
team would inevitably surge, maximizing its intrinsic potential.
I was reading an article in The Sun this morning and for one of the only times I can remember, it
made perfect sense which says alot right now. The question of Roman Abramovich's next step and who
he will appoint as manager will be discussed from here on in until the summer. Names that are
already been linked with the club are: Benitez, Guardiola, Redknapp, Capello and Mourinho.
The Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp spoke about the next transfer window, and according to the one
who is rumoured as Capello's follower, Arsenal are going to bring in a few star players in the
summer. Redknapp seems to think that the Gunners have already made plans to bring in a few big
players, and that's [.

Redknapp goes into auditioning mode, after diabolical decision changes the momentum of
the game.
Harry Redknapp yesterday gave the clearest indication that he was on his way to pastures new in
his politically correct interview after the game.
Former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is the early favorite, according to the oddmakers, to
take over at Anfield. AVB was sacked at Chelsea during the season but still considered by many to
be a top notch manager. Other favorites at Roberto Martinez and Brendan Rodgers who are both
currently managing other EPL teams.
Rodgers' appointment is imminent according to the BBC and Liverpool Echo, although we're still
waiting for confirmation from the club.

We might as well get the feared, loaded question out of the way up front.
Out of Contract LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham will not be joining French side PSG after
all. Club President Nasser Al Khelaifi revealed that the deal had been called off.
Beckham who had been linked with the Paris based club since late last year seems set to re-sign
with Galaxy.

On this week's Gadsby's England roundup, the utter absurdity of transfer deadline day, Wenger

John Terry has today been stripped of the England captaincy for a second time following
allegations of racism.
Terry allegedly called Anton Ferdinand a "black cunt" in Chelsea's defeat against QPR. In last
weekend's Cup game between the two clubs the FA scrapped the traditional handshake ahead of
kick-off after it became apparent that the QPR players would snub Terry in support of
Ferdinand.
The news broke this morning that the FA had finally taken some action over the John Terry racism
affair. Terry has been stripped of the England captaincy with immediate effect. Of course the
inadequate FA fell short of suspending him from playing for his country and it's unlikely that
Terry will be big enough to remove himself for selection.
Who should replace Chelsea's John Terry as England captain? Former England and Aston Villa manager
Graham Taylor believes that Liverpool talisman Steven Gerrard is the ideal candidate for the job,
but only if he can prove that he's up to it. Speaking to BBC Sport, Taylor argued:"Gerrard's been
captain before and I'd expect [Fabio] Capello to give it to him if he gets his top-class form back.
Their is a lot of uncertainity over who will be the next England Captain after John Terry was
sensationally axed from the position last week. Favourites for the job United's Rio Ferdinand ruled
himself out of the running while Man City's Joe Hart has down played his chances of replacing
Terry.

The English FA will meet with national team manager Fabio Capello after rising tensions over the
dismissal of John Terry as captain threatens to fracture an already tenuous relationship between
the two sides.
Capello has been very outspoken in his disagreement with the FA's decision to strip Terry of the
captain's armband after the defender's racism trial was delayed until July.
There's something beautifully eerie about Arsenal's Emirates stadium when it experiences a night
of snowfall. It almost looks like a scene out of the Twilight Zone and the colour
of the sky just takes you to a different place. What are these goose pimples? Bring back
November, please!
Outside of Harry's court case, the issues surrounding John Terry and the England captaincy have
been firmly in the media spotlight this week and while the attention is currently on manager Fabio
Capello, two of Tottenham's England internationals could be set to profit from the affair.
Scott Parker emerged last season to command a regular place in the England side and since his
move to White Hart Lane, our outstanding midfielder must surely be one of the first names on
Capello's team sheet.
Harry Redknapp was found innocent of tax evasion on Wednesday afternoon in London. The court
hearing did not merely determine whether Harry Redknapp was going to find himself imprisoned, or at
the very least fined and reprimanded, for tax evasion but, perhaps just as importantly, whether
Harry Redknapp was still on course for the top job in English football.

Capell0 has resigned. Everybody tosses rocks at the FA's glass house, yet we struggle to
articulate our feelings. For sure, changing coaches on the cusp of a major tournament is never
good. Remember the Ivory Coast drama before the 2010 World Cup? Yes, the FA could have better
included Capello in the John Terry issue.
STARTERSFabio Capello has quit as coach of England, over the FA's decision to not allow the idiot John
Terry to be captain.
-I guess Capello felt undermined by the decision and could not be in charge of his team at Euro
2012.
-Stuart Pearce has been named interim head coach.

The FA has a finely polished tin ear going back centuries, and the politburo of blazers decide. Let
the England coach be chosen by a referendum of the fans!
It's now officially four crucial months to the Euro 2012 and following Fabio

I'm Bert Tiddle and you've never heard of me. When I played for Sheffield United, Dave Bassett
told me I would make a great manager one day. I found out later that he meant it in a sarcastic
sort of way because he just saw me berate a reserve team player until the lad vomited pasta on
himself.
The football world already has it all planned out: fans, players, ex-players, pundits and
journalists alike all want Harry Redknapp to replace Fabio Capello as England manager, following
the Italian's resignation yesterday evening.
Some were already looking beyond Euro 2012 Capello had already planned to retire after this
summer's tournament to the Redknapp era, convinced he would be the man for the job at some
point.
