Former New England Revolution assistant Paul Mariner has been named interim manager of Plymouth
Argyle, less than two months after joining the club as 'head coach.' Mariner left the Revolution
with a week left in the regular season. "Paul Mariner will take charge of all football matters
until further notice," club chairman Roy Gardner said in a press statement.
Liverpool legend Ian Rush believes that the club must bolster their strike force by bringing in
Ruud van Nistelrooy from Real Madrid in January.
The Reds have been found lacking in the attacking department, with no proven hitman to replace or
partner Fernando Torres up front apart from the inexperienced David Ngog.
