'Tis King Eric's 49th birthday today, so we thought we'd celebrate by revisiting his finest hour; his appearance on live French debate show Coté Tribune back in 2001 in which, while under questioning about his infamous kung-fu assault at Selhurst Park, Cantona takes flight after being riled by a journalist describing said incident as 'unforgivable', a rant which ultimately sees him vowing to do the Pope an extreme urinary disservice then promising every journalist in the land the same treatment.

It's been that kind of week for United. Starting with the win over QPR, deemed unfair thanks to Young's gravity-tripping right till the otherwise comprehensive win over Villa still deemed unfair, thanks to... oh. Well, that aside, it's also been generally unsatisfying for this time of the season as a United fan.

Manchester United commercial director Richard Arnold has dismissed suggestions that the club signs international stars from emerging football nations to sell in those particular markets, insisting that each of the club's players has the pull equivalent to that of George Clooney in Hollywood.

Arnold was speaking in response to reports that United's potential signing of Japanese starlet Shijni Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund is primarily aimed at generating revenue from football shirt sales in the island nation.
