If Nike's UK website is to be believed, then we have the above design to look forward to next
season.
The image depicts Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Park Ji-Sung, and Paul Scholes in
apparel obviously designed with next season in mind. The source page for the image has since been
taken down by Nike.
One day Patrice Evra will write a book. He has an inspirational story to tell by a footballer who
offers a rare insight into life at Old Trafford under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson. Evra is

SIR Alex Ferguson is ready to make a £25million swoop for Germany's Mesut Ozil after
Wesley Sneijder announced he wants to stay with Inter Milan.
The World Cup Final is over and it was not the most entertaining game with Spain winning in extra
time 1-0. But the one incident that stood out was dutch midfielder Nigel de Jong kung fu kick on
Alonso, which got me to thinking, who is soccer real Kung Fu Kick: de Jong or Eric Cantona?

And women say men don't know the pain of child-birth... The small Icelandic football team Stjarnan
FC have gained a degree of notoriety recently with their truly epic ‘fishing' celebration. It is
above for those of you as behind on your footballing news as Marlon King. This is quite possibly my
favourite celebration ever.
So none of us saw that coming. Over seven million pound coins on an unknown bloke who has
represented his country at the World Cup...that being the homeless version.
The signing of the apparently flair driven, Tevez dribbling, deep lying attacker come winger called
Bebe, in technical terms is not surprising.
Even £50,000 a week is overly generous. Can you imagine how much money we are talking about here.
Has everyone lost all sense of proportion?

Hi folks – you well? I'm back after a long weekend away in Cork for a friend's wedding, during
which time I consumed too much Guinness and sneaked into a pub to watch Sunday's big game the
All-Ireland football final, in which Cork overcame a dismal first-half display to roar back and
beat Down by the narrowest of margins.
Alex Thomas: Which team do you dread most in the Premier League?
Alex Ferguson: Well the Premier League is such a difficult league, it's almost tribalism, you
can't dismiss that impact when it comes to winning the Premier League.
I always look at the team that wins the league the year before, you have to be the target to try
to work on, it's up the rest including us to do that and Chelsea are the champions, there's no
question about that.

What is it about away kits that bring out the best and worst in shirt manufacturers? For
Manchester United the worst are the infamous grey, and the Sheffield Wednesday-esque blue-and-white
of the 90s. But the best is an away kit too...
When it came to choosing my favourite United kit of all time I was pleasantly surprised to learn
that the players and I are in complete agreement.
Welcome to the fifth issue of The Red Report, the round table discussion of all things
Manchester United by your favourite United blogs: The Busby Way, Stretford-End, Bangalore To Old
Trafford, ManUtd24, and Red Force Rising.
This week we look back at the Derby against Manchester City and explain what it means to us;
discuss Ole's departure; praise Michael Carrick; and run the rule over free-scoring Andy
Carroll.
Eric Harrison has exerted a tremendous amount of influence at Manchester United. As United's
youth coach, he was the off-field genius who not only supplied Alex Ferguson with a band of young
players capable of sustaining the team's success post Cantona but moulded some of English
football's brightest individuals.
So today is Oscar day, so like many other people, movies are on my mind. Last year we had a couple
of unusally great little football films in Looking for Eric and The Damned United, the latter a
biopic of Brian Clough which proved a fascinating insight into the man (albeit in a nicer way [...]
Sir Alex ready to cut his losses on Old Trafford Flop.
Win the Club Shirt Of Your Choice Simply by Speaking Your Mind!
Manchester United are reportedly ready to cut their losses on former Tottenham forward Dimitar
Berbatov in the summer. Sir Alex Ferguson has apparently ran out of patience and will even consider
offers considerably lower than the £31m paid to sign the Bulgarian in September 2008.
James Milner and Wayne Rooney have won the PFA Young Player and Player of the Year Awards. The PFA
unfortunately did not do a great job in nominations for Young Player of the Year. How else would
you explain why Rooney and Fabregas are nominated AGAIN for Young Player? In fact, I think that Joe
Hart have had a fantastic season making 126 saves and keeping ten clean sheets thus far.
It is with some distain, if not total consternation, that I observe the clichéd comments of the
media, rival fans, and (most of all) my fellow Manchester United fans in relation to the ‘old
guard' at Old Trafford!
I could paraphrase an endless list of comments across an endless list of articles and blog
contributions but let me quote a comment by the BBC's chief sports writer, Phil McNulty, in his
review of the season this week:
"once again we have to ask how much more Ferguson can dredge out of the old reliables
such as Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes.
In this final instalment of 'Season Analysis', ManUtd24 look at the much-scrutinised

It just wasn't to be for Dimitar Berbatov.
So on one hand Manchester United are being linked will all and sundry as usual, and on the other
Sir Alex is saying he is not going to sign anyone...as usual. You will be used to this transfer
window role play by now if you are a die hard.
So on this tour of our American owners homelands, it's the normal pre-season chance for many of the
kids and reserve players.
United's second game was in the city or brotherly love. The game ended 1:0 to United with
Obertan scoring the only game of the game.
Philadelphia is a perfect representation of all things America. They love their sports teams and
they are a passionate bunch. So it wasn't entirely surprising when I was greeted to a sea of
Philadelphia Unions fans.

He cambiado de desodorante.

Around 3 months ago and during the summer as well to a degree, many people were getting
premonitions of Manchester United on a decline. Some of these people also predicted a decline when
Robson, Cantona, Keane and van Nistelrooy left. Yet we survived each and every time, coming roaring
back to win all before and behind us.
Close to 400 people have signed up for our Fantasy Premier League, which, in itself, is awesome.
While there is still time to build your squad for the season that starts this Saturday, there have
been some sparks of brilliance already. No, I'm not talking about your Starting XI. I'm talking
about team names.
Ducky's Note: This post was written when we were still a nascent blog with just the vague
outlines of what BigFourZa should eventually be. Now that we have taken a good first step
towards that eventuality, it seems a good time to bring this up again as part of our 'BeforeZa'
series.
Sitting in my seat, singing along to 'This is the One' in my head and awaiting the boys to
appear out of the tunnel, it was like we had never been away. The pitch was perfect, even at the
goalmouths, and the colours around the ground were brighter than I remembered, like always. I love
being there.
Last week we showed you the original cage advert by Nike. Well they brilliantly followed
that up with a rematch back in the ship, but this time as Cantona wonderfully says, "first to 100
wins"...

"Who is on fire, Henry is on fire" and Roberto Carlos' face on 55 seconds make this advert
brilliant.
Somehow even though we missed the 6pm deadline on Tuesday the Premier League allowed us to sign
the experienced attacking midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart which has pretty much saved our transfer
story this summer in my eyes although I would've still liked a similar quality striker to come
in.

In many ways it is a non issue.
United do indeed have leaders throughout the team so does it really matter who wears that big 'C'
on his arm, and gets to lift the silverwear?
To me at least, the answer is yes. And it has a two fold explanation to it. One part is historical
and one part is practical, but neither has anything to do with common sense:
When I was a boy (violins start to play) the captain of Manchester United Football Club was Bryan
Robson.

It's a bloody mess, but a beautiful, sexy, French mess. Ah, Ginola... a man with just as much
ability as Cantona in my book, even if he rarely made the most of it.
Great acting by Ledley and Crouchy. If you like looking at wood through your hands.
