She's brutal. Worse than Cantona or Gattuso or Materazzi or anyone you can think of.

Fans take pride in their soccer jersey, no matter the game, fans will wear the jersey that shows
support for their current club, that was no different during the Real Madrid and DC United game on
Sunday. The OTWT Tailgating Crew did our best to create a running list of the some of the jerseys
that we saw in the crowd.

Dimitar Berbatov has admitted he failed to live up to what was expected of him in his
first season with Manchester United and that he now recognises the rapid need for change if he is
to prove his worth.
"Au revoir Cantona and Man United... come back when you've won 18" read the banner at Anfield
all those years ago. Back then it appeared laughable that this rejuvenated United team, under the
guidance of Alex Ferguson, could even dream of going on to win eighteen titles. But if we were ever
to win eighteen, they certainly would have added another ten or twenty league titles to their
collection.
It's perhaps inevitable in this day and age that footballers will not follow in the footsteps of
their predecessors into the inevitable job opportunities that present themselves. Manager, Coach,
Television pundit, Pub landlord, Priest and Horse trainer are just some of the roles that former
players often either fell into, or chose to follow their career.
Some of you may have heard by now that there is a film due to be released on 12th June called
'Looking for Eric' and it is indeed, a story surrounding the ex-United legend, Eric 'collar up'
Cantona.
I've actually seen a trailer for the film. Not because I've looked online I might add - because
i went to the cinema recently and it was on there.
Giggs, Owen star as Man Utd rout Zhejiang Greentown
I can't help myself. I have to admit that I have been keenly following the pre-season tour exploits
of the Red Devils. Central to my interest is the performance of Michael Owen. And he has surely not
disappointed! From the moment he signed for United, I felt he had found the one of two clubs (the
other being Arsenal) that could offer him the opportunity to rediscover himself.
Sir Alex Ferguson has likened Dimitar Berbatov with United legend Eric Cantona for his
match-winning capabilities. Not all Man United fans have accepted Berbatov yet, they would prefer

Will there be more to come for United?
As far as title winners go, Manchester United's Class of 2009 have been one of the best. In
cold, hard terms of consistency United have been absolutely incredible - 27 wins from 37 games, 87
points from 37 games and just 7 points being dropped at home belies a level of reliability
unmatched since Mourinho's glory days in the mid-2000s.
At age 22, Zinedine Zidane was playing in the Intertoto Cup with Bordeaux. At that same age,
Éric Cantona had just got a move from Auxerre to Marseille. Rivaldo had just moved from
Corinthians to cross-town rivals Palmeiras in São Paulo.
With the money involved in today's game and globalized scouting networks, such players would
already have been with one of the European giants before they had the chance to establish
themselves in their local teams.
I have fought Dimitar Berbatov's corner since he joined Manchester United and came under
criticism from our own fans as much as elsewhere. I saw enough in him to stick my neck out and
acknowledge that whilst he wasn't scoring as much as we'd hoped, he was class and we needed to give
him time. If you don't get Berbatov, you don't get football became somewhat of a
catchphrase, feeling the need to repeatedly defend the guy.

Ryan Giggs came up with the following when asked make up his Manchester United all time best

The topic of who the greatest Ferguson team was has come up recently, with some arguing that the
1994 Double winning side was the best. They didn't have any European success to back up their claim
though, with Ferguson often criticised for not winning any many Champions League titles as he
should have.
At last, the Winker has left the building. The self professed greatest player in the world has

On this day 23 years ago, a certain Alexander Chapman Ferguson was appointed as the manager at

His tactical genius, inspirational personality and tremendous focus have put him in a league

The Times columnist and Spiked magazine editor, Mick Hume, has taken some time out of his busy

Mick Hume: My whole life since I was seven anyway, in 1967. I am the stereotypical Surrey Red, from

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has reiterated his desire to manage
Manchester United in the future. Does that mean that he could be the next Manchester United manager
when Sir Alex retires? I'm not sure about that.
Most United fans would love to see Cantona back at Old Trafford but may'be United need someone with
a bit more experience in management when Fergie retires.
Well, well, well, well, well........well.
It looks like Ronaldo will be joining Kaka sooner rather than later. United have today accepted
an astonishing £80 million bid from Real Madrid. (is he really £21 million better than the
Brazilian??) Quite incredible.
It looked like initially we were going to have to endure the summer-long transfer saga
again.
Remember this?? So yea, Drogba was banned for 6 matches for berating the ref after that
controversial champions league game. Personally I think this was one of the greatest flip-outs of
all time. But not better than Cantona destroying someone in the front row:
Best, Charlton, Cantona, Beckham, Ronaldo, and now Owen. Yes Owen. Manchester United announced
today that former Kop hero Michael Owen will wear the famed number 7 shirt. It may sound a little
strange to have the former Anfield legend wear the shirt, but if you think about it might make
total sense.
People say Nani could one day fill Ronaldo's shoes, but giving him the famed jersey at this
point in his career might bring him undo pressure.
I hate that I do!
Right, it's been a while since my last rant so here goes!
Ehup, this week I call to the stand Patrick Joseph "Paddy" Kenny your honour.
After the Blades' clash with Preston in May 2009, Paddy was found to have traces of the banned

We continue to edge closer to United related news, but this was too difficult to pass up. When
the King speaks we have to listen:
"I think that Raymond Domenech is the worst coach in French football since Louis XVI. If it was
up to me, I'd put (Bordeaux coach) Laurent Blanc in charge of the France team," the former
Manchester United hero continued.
I think there is little doubt that we would all love the opportunity to spend the Ronaldo war chest
of money for Sir Alex. It would be a pleasure. We would all pick a David Silva here, maybe a David
Villa there. Some would plump for precocious talent such as Alexi Sanchez, or Douglas Costa.
