The concept behind this new Nike World Cup campaign is not new one wrong pass and your career
goes to the sh*ts, you end up living in a caravan park and you grow a massive beard. We've all been
there. Fray Bentos pie tins on the floor, Stella cans full of cigarette ends.
One upon a time, before the grease, step overs and the Jersey Shore Makeover,
Greaseaño was a shy young lad. "Este menino tem potencial," said a deep voice
in his head while he was filing his nails in Madeira. Alas, today that young boy has turned into an
exquisite creature one who quickly morphed into a tipo legal in our books after a nice 1am
phone conversation.
Lamentável a decisão da CAF ao suspender o Togo por duas CANs na sequência dos acontecimentos de
Cabinda.
The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football met on 30 January 2010 and
examined the withdrawal of Togo national team from the Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2010.
The science of sport has changed the game of soccer, and it is easy to see when it comes through a
player's diet.
The Johannesburg Independent reports on how England's footballers have transformed their diets over
the years, from sausage and chips to sushi and rice.
In 1966, when England won its only World Cup, its players feasted on typical English English
fare, sausages and chips.

One of my favourite things about the World Cup are the golden nuggets of knowledge you learn
about each nation supports their team. In England right now it's all flags of St. George either
attached to cars or hanging out of bedroom windows, and people wearing football shirts that don't
flatter their physique.
1) Ratings Success. This is the most important American story from the 2010 World Cup. With the
time difference in South Africa the same as 2006 in Germany, it allowed us to have an equal
comparison between the ratings. The results: ESPN - up 31%, and Univision - up 15%. Those are huge
increases, and they only should get higher in 2014, when the games are on later in the day.
Last day of short week, so we thought we take the opportunity to scan the web for some
interesting writings on the business of American soccer. We'll start at MatchFit, where Jason
Davis takes a look at the start of the NFL season and its impact on soccer viewing and MLS. Will
soccer fans be caught up in the massive machine that is professional football, or will the marquee
match up of Seattle and RSL keep their interest?
So I have been awake for over 36 hours now due to a combination of my inability to not think about
heavy sh*t when I go to bed and a pair of post 9pm cans of Red Bull last night. I know I shouldn't
drink those things so late but they were free and I was thirsty. That's what happens when you blag
your way into the FIFA11 release party; there's always a price to pay for a night out in NYC.
Manchester United's star, Wayne Rooney, has been dropped from Coca-Cola's team. After the press
accused Rooney of allegedly cheating on his then pregnant wife with a prostitue, the Coca-Cola
company recently decided to take Rooney's image off of their Coke Zero cans. With all of the
negative press about the Manchester United player, the soft drink company doesn't [.
As reported by numerous sources on both sides of the pond, Manchester United
want-away-striker Wayne Rooney has signed a new five-year deal with the
club. The contract will keep him at Old Trafford until 2015 on a rumored-wage of £180k a
week.
The turn-around is quite dramatic following the week of press and statements from the player and
the club.
