Hit the jump for the retro-kick-ass-iness of the new kit:
THAT is what an Arsenal home kit should look like. Red shirt, white sleeves, white collars,
white shorts. That's it. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best home kit in a long time it's
similar to the 2006-2008 home kit, but with red bands at the bottom of the sleeves, no gold
stripes, and wider white collars.

Several big names for the world of football turned up at the Imperial War Museum in south London
for the 2010 Military Awards last night – including D-Becks and F-Lamps. We were there too,
crouched behind a cannon, Canon primed...

My lifespan will have taken a sharp dip following this season I think. Counting a year gone
for the effect of every late goal we've scored on my biological ticker, I will now die 18 years
younger. Think of how many trophies of the Arsenal I'll miss in those 18 years. The funniest part
is; the players of the team that will be winning those trophies are yet to be born!
Santa Rosa's Under 14 and Senior Team enjoyed a good pre-season Sunday on 18th April, 2010 with
a draw and a win respectively. In the first game of a double-header at the Youth Training Centre Arouca, Coach Leno Fermin's
Little Cannons drew 3:3 with Northeast Stars Fc of the Pro Leagueafter falling 3:0 behind.
If Barcelona were a bloke in a pub they'd be that annoying cunt who never shuts up and thinks
what he has to say is of such importance that he has to speak louder than anyone else at all times.
Even if a helicopter came in to land in the middle of the pub you'd be able to hear him.
The personification of that annoying bloke is Xavi.
Galaxy 1, Islanders 4. And if it weren't for a lucky bounce, LA wouldn't have scored.
What can you say? The best team in MLS, a side that with just two losses this season, a team that
built its first half success on defensive strength, gives up four at home to a second division side
in a competition they claimed they were taking seriously.
Poor Maxi Rodriguez. From Atletico's fire to Liverpool's frying pan.
I can't decide whether I'm happy or skeptical, optimistic or pessimistic over the deal. Little has
a silver lining after yesterday's calamity, but I felt similarly before the match. And yesterday's
result will only intensify the pressure on Rodriguez, which obviously isn't fair.
Struggling a bit this week trying to drop some E's into the mix, oioi!! So only got a couple but
feel free to add some. To make up for the lack of players, I've put some goal action in here for
you, and not may come better than Brazilian Eders efforts at 82. Éder Aleixo de Assis was a star
of the brilliant Brazil team that missed out in Spain despite it being one of the finest collection
of players ever assembled.

The San Jose Earthquakes are red hot and come to Home Depot Center tonight to take on a slumping
Chivas USA team in need of a victory.
Chivas USA is fresh off a very disappointing 3-0 loss on the road at Houston last week, while
the visiting San Jose Earthquakes are on a two game winning streak, including last week's 2-0
victory at home against the New England Revolution.
This week's game looked much like last week's game, except last week two of our midfielders scored
and this week they didn't.
The Rapids came out in the same 4-5-1 lineup from last week, and once again it helped their
possession game. Unfortunately Colorado could not convert the possession into goals.
I can't believe what I am seeing!
Just what is happening at our football club?
A few games ago we were fighting for the Premiership title but now we are looking nervously over
our shoulders in case we finish below the likes of Manchester City or, dare I say it, Spurs.
Luckily for us there is a lack of games remaining and they both face each other so third place is
in our hands.
We're approximately 25% of the way into the season. Lets do a recap of how we're looking so
far.
Goalkeeping: Matt Pickens has been solid but not spectacular. He's had one goal in Kansas City that
was really his fault and the rest that, while a top goalie might have stopped, you can't really
blame Pickens for not stopping.

Noticed this blog about one cyclist's battle with the arrogant and angry drivers out there :
101 W*nkers cycling blog.
Well worth a read (if only for the diligence shown with the accompanying Google Map)
Wonder if the people at Cannon Hygience took any action over their scumbag of a driver.
They say if a million monkeys kept going on a million typewriters, they would eventually come up
with ‘Hamlet'. I even hear the method has had some results, albeit not of a Hamletian level of
eloquence or depressiveness. That said, I would be very surprised if I got works of Shakespeare
handed to me by over-the-moon orangutans.

The Earthquakes were relocated to Houston in 2005 and became the Dynamo. So this is another big
rivalry for the Quakes, playing their former selves. There are 8 former Quakes still on the Dynamo,
including several coaches. The Quake's record against the Dynamo since 2008 is 2-2-1.
3 cheers for Wondo!
Hip Hip Hooray!
Hip Hip Hooray!
Hip Hip Hooray!
Okay, now that that's over with, let's get down to it. Here is the match summary:
4′ Wondolowski Goal
53′ Wondolowski Goal
66′ De Rosario Goal
67′ Wondolowski Goal
79′ Santos Goal
80′ De Rosario Yellow Card
Unfortunately I was unable to watch the game, although the twitter feed on the MLS website was
saying that MLS Direct Kick was not working, so even if I went to the Brit, probably wouldn't have
been able to watch.
...of getting to the playoffs since their return in 2008. DC United will be standing in their
way, as well as Kansas City, who could dash the hopes of the team and fans for at least another
week. The one sure way to guarantee a playoff spot for the Quakes is for the team to win and Kansas
City to lose.
He plays on the left, he plays on the right, that boy Mapp-O makes Pink Cows look
shite!
Ok, so the song needs a lot of work. Thankfully, Justin Mapp doesn't. The midseason
acquisition has been a creative force for Philadelphia Union. Other than Roger Torres, he's been
the only creative force this season.
Morning all, Interlull is over, we appear, at this stage, to have come through unscathed. The
early team news is good, in that there's nothing unexpected, but it's always possible that Arsene
might spring a 'surprise' or two at today's press conference.
Jack Wilshere faces a fitness test but according to his Twitter:
Feeling better today, training tomorrow and hopefully selected for Saturday.
The MLS Expansion Draft enables expansion teams to draft players from established teams in the
league in order to fill out their rosters a bit before moving to the regular Super Draft. I've got
a chart with all the current Quakes and their pertinent information related to the club. I was
going to write up something about who to potentially protect before the draft.
Hello everyone,
feeling slightly better this morning. Hot whiskey + cough medicine + all the other medicine in
the house in one large goblet seems to have made a bit of a difference.
Arsene's press conference took place yesterday ahead of the Chelsea game and there wasn't much
out of the ordinary going on.
