hernia operation he might go through. The info comes from France's L'Equipe. I do feel bad for the
guy, but unfortunately the rapid change of feeling comes when I remember Brazil is playing Ivory
Coast, and playing Ivory Coast without Drogba would be a heck lot easier.

We've been over the hype victims, darkhorses and well as the disappointments, but now is the time

teams that I really thought could win it. Now, after Robben's injury, I think it may be down to

When it comes to winning the world cup, two teams can never be discredited, Italy and Brazil.
However I have seen very little support for the Italians entering this world cup, perhaps it was
their unbeaten qualification campaign which has led to doubts over their credentials. Or perhaps it
is that the spine of the reigning World Champions remaining the same.
The World Cup trophy returned to Europe after a 4 year lapse as Italy wrested the cup away from
holders, Brazil. France were the unfortunate losers in the final, a task made much tougher after
the the sending off of captain and talismanic playmaker, Zinedine Zidane in the final minutes of
extra time.
We are just 2 hours away from England's opening world cup game against the USA, and 2 days and 2
hours away from the Italian's opening fixture against Paraguay.
While I obviously would love to see England lift the trophy and be crowned world champions, my
head tells me that Italy have a great chance themselves, but I cannot understand why they are a
massive 16/1 with the bookies to win the trophy, these are fantastic odds.
We have read that referees in South Africa have been taking immersion courses in English to
understand words our mother's told us not to use in polite company. With this in mind, here is my
list for match officials with the Azzurri who open group round play on Monday against Paraguay in
Cape Town.
