The Best Defenders Headed To South Africa

World Cup Buzz 11 November @ 11:27 PM EST

In football attacking players often get most of the praise when their team is achieving results while players in other positions are often overlooked. Defenders are typically ignored when accolades and awards are given out, yet it would be wrong to underestimate the contribution and influence of key defensive players such as Italy's Paolo Maldini or France's Lilian Thuram, just to name a couple of outstanding talents.

Calcio, Serie A: Alle 18 Catania-Napoli.

The Fútbolita Interview : Kay Murray – Real Madrid TV

Futbolita 03 November @ 12:35 AM EST
NOTHING excites us more than meeting a fellow chica who plies her trade in the truly madcap world of the football media. So when Futbolita encountered Kay Murray, the fresh face of Real Madrid TV (which telecasts on Sky TV and Digital in Spain), it was a bit like talking to a long lost hermana.

Maldini-Ronaldo-Cannavaro

Jesus Almeyda 22 October @ 10:49 AM EST
Click to continue reading...

Roma - Juve 1-3

Juventus Blogger's Corner 31 August @ 02:53 AM EST

Are You For Real, Madrid?

The Dribzleroo 02 August @ 06:38 AM EST

The Galacticos era has returned to Real Madrid. This time though, president Florentino Perez has signed players (let's face it, coach Manuel Pellegrini has little say in the transfers, although he wouldn't be complaining about the signings thus far!) with the long term in mind.

Juventus—things falling into place?

Soccer Pie 01 August @ 06:33 AM EST

It seems that the wandering time, transition period after relegation to the second league and breaking legs on Italian countryside is finally over. Over the last two years, after returning to Serie A, the biggest Italian club were searching for their identity. Delusions like Claudio Ranieri or bad moves on the market cost them dearly, but they have learnt the lesson.

Click to continue reading...

Goal.com’s Serie A Team of the Decade. Do you agree?

The Offside: Italy 20 July @ 01:39 PM EST

Let me just start out by saying that I have never liked Goal.com (the English version at least. The Italian version is actually pretty good because it just posts articles from Italian newspapers, so at least you know you're reading from a source). The English version always seems to have stories without sources that look like they were just thought up at that instant and posted, and I have never liked their opinions on Italian calcio.

00Secco in Spagna per Diarra e Giuseppe Rossi

Juventus Blogger's Corner 17 June @ 05:23 AM EST

Cannavaro Receives Key And Sends Real Warning

Canna Goes Back to Juve

It is confirmed that Canna will join Juventus again in July. But he doesn't expect a warm reception from the fans particularly after he "deserted" them three years ago for Royal Madrid.
