George Karl is a model of excellence among NBA basketball coaches. He is one of seven NBA coaches
to win 1,000 games, and built the Seattle Supersonics, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets into
top-flite teams.

priorities in his life in place.
I first had the idea to write a quick story about Sporting Kansas City's assistant equipment
manager Andy Garay after I heard he is a cancer survivor. I asked around and it seems that he was
the only cancer survivor on the team side and I thought it would be interesting to see what he
thought of the LIVESTRONG connection with the new stadium.
With the MISL season fast approaching the player signings have already started with the Missouri
Comets as they announced their first signings of the 2011 offseason today.

survivor Lance Armstrong) announced that the new soccer-specific stadium in town would now be
called, "Livestrong Sporting Park".
