Robinho makes a stunning return
Robinho made a dream return to Santos scoring a spectacular winning goal in the 2-1 victory
against São Paulo.
Signed by Santos for six months from Manchester City, Robinho came on in the 56th minute when
the score stood 1-1 in the Arena Barueri.

A few days ago, we brought you a look at some of the contestants taking part in the Gata do
Paulistão 2010 competition. Needless to say, Football Fashion's first ever Gata do Paulistão was
extremely popular. Last night, the finals of the competition took place. The event culminated with
the crowning of 25-year old Fernanda Passos [.

Rodrigo Possebon at Santos

Belmiro side have acquired 35% of the 21-year-old's economic rights – the rest are owned by an
investment group. Possebon will be presented officially on Monday. Santos have already won the
Campeonato Paulista and the Copa do Brasil this season.
Dentinho
News coming from Turkey suggests that Corinthians man, Dentinho, could be on his way to
Istanbul.
Rumour has it that Dentinho's representative and a Corinthians director are in Turkey to
negotiate a possible move to Fenerbahçe.
Dentinho, whose real name is Bruno Ferreira Bonfim, turns 21 in two days.
Former Real Madrid Galacticomates Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos were reunited on the pitch yesterday,
when Carlos made his slide-tackle-tastic debut for Corinthians, in the team's 2-1 win over
Bragantino in the Campeonato Paulista. We'll be seeing more of the famous double act in the Copa
Libertadores this year.
André on target for Santos
Second-half goals from André and Giovanni earned Santos all the points against a plucky Rio
Claro on Sunday.
Santos were clearly suffering from a carnaval hangover throughout most of the match and went
behind to relegation-threatened Rio Claro late in the first period when Jefferson hit home from
close range.
Birgit Prinz- She is one of Germany's best known female football players. She has won the World Cup
twice in 2003 and 2007. She also won the UEFA Women's Championship five times. Prinz is the
all-time leading scorer at World Cups with 14 goals as well as all-time leading scorer at Olympic
Games with 10 goals.
Santos sweep São Paulo aside in the Vila
The finals of the Campeonato Paulista 2010 will be decided between Santos and Santo André.
On Sunday, Santos put three past a toothless São Paulo to bring their total of goals to 90 in
25 games this season. São Paulo's best chance of getting through the tie came in the first leg at
the Morumbi.
Thumbs up from Roberto Carlos just one of the big stars in this year's Paulista
Is it that time already? It seems like yesterday that some of us were cheering Flamengo as they
lifted the Campeonato Brasileiro. Now, a little under six weeks later, professional football has
returned to Brazil with the start of the 27 state championships.
Portuguesa enjoy the afternoon against São Paulo
34 goals flew in in the opening round of the Campeonato Paulista 2010.
The highest score was at the Palestra Itália were Palmeiras hammered Mogi Mirim 5-1. Diego
Souza struck twice. Léo, the on-loan centreback from Grêmio, Robert and Cleiton Xavier also hit
the net.
Hernanes gets acrobatic
Ricardo Gomes' São Paulo managed their first win of the campaign after brushing aside
strugglers Rio Claro in the Morumbi.
The Tricolor were far from their best but goals from Hernanes, Washington and Rogério Ceni
ensured a plucky Rio Claro would stay bottom.
Gorgeous Jorge
In the first big derby in the Campeonato Paulista, a goal from Jorge Henrique was enough to
give Corinthians their first win against Palmeiras since 2006 and send the Musketeers to the top of
the league.
Henrique's goals came with just six minutes on the on clock after the diminutive forward out
jumped the Palmeiras defence.
São Paulo Futebol Clube, usually called São Paulo FC or just São Paulo is the most successful
club in Brazil, holding the most national league and international titles of any Brazilian club.
They are the only team to have won the Brazilian Série A six times. They have also won the
Campeonato Paulista 21 times.
Astunned Elias can only look on after Neymar strikes for Santos
Santos staked their claim for the Paulista after overcoming a full-strength Corinthians side 2-1
in the Vila Belmiro.
Even without Robinho who was on international duty with Brazil, the Santos youngsters put on a
mesmerizing performance overshadowing a Corinthians team that included an out-of-shape Ronaldo
making a rare appearance.
As per CNN, the original Ronaldo is retiring from football in 2011. For you ladies, he is the
heavier and not-so good looking seen to your right. The Brazilian International was a member of the
winning 1994 World Cup squad and has scored 62 goals in 97 appearances. He has played for clubs
Cruzeiro, PSV, Barcelona, Internazionale, Real Madrid, Milan, and the Corinthians.
Santos coach Dorival Junior is close to leading his side to the playoffs
Santos' run of nine wins in a row in the Paulista came to an end on Sunday night when they were
held 1-1 by Portuguesa in the estádio Canindé. Héverton struck first for the homeside and Santos
had to wait until the 89th minute before Zé Eduardo grabbed an equalizer.
Palmeiras dancing with the stars
A Palmeiras side languishing in midtable shocked Santos by pulling off a stunning 4-3 win in the
Vila Belmiro. In the best game of the competition so far, Roberto Pinho was the hero with three
excellent goals. Palmeiras' chances of making the playoffs remain slim but the win will be a huge
tonic for the Greens and new coach Antonio Carlos Zago who was already feeling the pressure.
How long will Santos be able to keep this lot together?
Scouts from Paris Saint Germain, Lille and Olympique Marseille are in Brazil and their reports
might prompt a shopping spree at the Vila Belmiro. The French have watched Santos training
sessions and are particularly interested in Neymar, Paulo Henrique
Lima, André and Wesley – and the hefty price tags haven't put the Europeans off.
Two from São Paulo, Prudente, Portuguesa and Corinthians will make the finals
Santos and Santo André have already qualified for the playoffs in the Campeonato Paulista. Now,
with just one game to go, the fight is on between Grêmio Prudente, São Paulo, Corinthians and
Portuguesa.
On Sunday, Prudente pulled off a 3-2 win away at Bragantino to go 3rd on 34 points.
Two for Wesley (left)
Santos took a major step towards clinching the Campeonato Paulista after overcoming a plucky
Santo André in the first leg of the finals on Sunday. Rank outsiders, Santo André, governed the
first-half and deservedly took the lead through a Bruno César free kick with 35 minutes gone.
Neymar leads the celebrations for Santos
Santos were crowned champions of the Campeonato Paulista 2010 after drawing 5-5 on aggregate
with Santo André. The boys from the Vila won the first leg 3-2 but lost the second by the same
score line. With no penalties or extra-time in the competition, Santos took the title because they
finished higher in the group stage.
Pará, Zé Eduardo, Madson and Paulo Henrique strike a familiar pose for title favourites
Santos
The State tournaments are over and now the real test is about to begin with the start of
Brazil's national league: the Campeonato Brasileiro.
Exciting and intriguing, bizarre and imperfect, the Brasileirão makes for a fascinating
blend.
Various state championships came to a conclusion in Brazil this weekend and there were no real
surprises in terms of the eventual winners. The Carioca Championship already hailed its new
champion Botafogo two weeks ago after the team had won both stages of their state competition. This
weekend saw more victorious scenes in various state championships which have now all been decided
with just a week to go before the new Brasileiro (Brazilian national championship) season gets
under way.
Neymar da Silva Santos or just simply Neymar is a Brazilian future soccer star.
He is the most highly rated Brazilian recently that many labeled him as the "New Pele" or New
"Robinho".
But with the scoring feat he did for his present club Santos FC, he can be called the "New
Ronaldo" as well.
AC Milan are on the rise, the rossoneri are aiming for the scudetto now that they have new stars
like Ibrahimovic and Robinho. These two stars added to Ronaldinho and Pato provide an attacking
group of players which seem very dangerous. Now you can follow AC Milan on GolTV, which has decided
to include "AC Milan Channel".

Former FIFA World Player of the Year (1999) and 2002 World Cup-winning midfielder Rivaldo has
signed for modest Sao Paulo-based Mogi Mirim. The former Barcelona and AC Milan player played for
the club from 1992 to 1993 and currently acts as the club's president. During his five-year stay
at FC Barcelona (1997-2002) the now 38-year old [.
Despite finishing in a disappointing 8th position in the 2010 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A,
São Paulo-based club Santos FC did manage to win a double this year. The club's trophies came from
the 2010 Campeonato Paulista (São Paulo state championship) and Copa do Brasil (Brazil Cup). In
commemoration of its double, Santos has launched a special edition retro-look Umbro 2010 [.
