Ther is lots of Arsenal transfer news about today, and the one that has shocked Arsenal fans the
most (from looking at the blogs) is the news that Sol Cambell has been signed on a temporary
contract until the end of the season. I have seen various figures relating to his paypacket, but it
seems [...]
Arsene Wenger has yet again assured that Arsenal fans that he is looking for players in every
position (yeah right!) and compares the transfer market to a fishing trip, but it looks like his
only signing will be a very old fish in Sol Campbell! "We are open to new players coming in, and in
every [...
Football, I can report, still has the power to amaze.
After a sabbatical of 3½ years, Sol Campbell's all set to sign for Arsenal until the end of the
season. Amazing because he's 35, amazing because he's hardly the age profile of the classic Wenger
signing, and amazing because despite having trained for months with the club, nobody really saw it
coming.
The new Wenger signing Sol Campbell is over the moon that Arsene Wenger has given him another
chance to shine at Arsenal, and believes that he can still play at the top for another three years.
"If I keep training like this then I can play for two or three years of real good quality," he

Sorry to have missed out on the past few days as I was away on holidays and did not realise that it
was hard and expensive to get internet in a foreign country. It's gonna a really short one, since
I'm still in the holiday mood. So what have happened in the last few days; Sol Campbell [...]
As the weekend draws closer, naturally the focus is more on those who would feature in the FA Cup
game against Stoke. Looking around the squad, you would expect Wenger to field those fringe players
and perhaps even some from the reserves side. That being said, Wenger do have a good record in the
FA [.
It was just a bad day at the office for Arsenal. With the defeat to Stoke, it leaves us with just 2
competitions left in which to break our 5 year trophyless drought. It was a double-edged sword for
Wenger. Had he sent out a full strength side and lost, people would wondering whether it [...]
Stoke City 3-1 Arsenal
I said yesterday that Wenger had little choice but to gamble in today's FA Cup game. Gamble he
did – and he lost.
As expected, he chose a mixture of youth and experience. In the young corner were
Emmanuel-Thomas (first team debut), Coquelin (a lick of Milk Cup only) and Eastmond (one Premier
League start).
Sol Campbell made his Arsenal debut for the second time yesterday, and is happy to be playing
again, but not so happy that the team has been knocked out of the Cup! "We just have to dust
ourselves off and realise how precious these cup competitions and the league points are" Campbell
said. "They are special.
Sol Campbell made his second Arsenal debut in last weekends defeat at Stoke, and was thrown on
again last night when Thomas Vermaelen was taken off with a suspected broken leg. Now Campbell
thinks he is ready for the big game this Sunday, when Arsenal face Man Utd in the crucial title
clash. "I wouldn't be [.
So, it was not the best possible start to the crunch fixtures as Arsenal only managed a draw
against Aston Villa. The big question of whether this is a point gained or two points lost, remains
to be seen. On the balance of play, it was a fair result for both sides. Chances were few [...]
