Former Barcelona youth team player Hector Bellerin says he decided to quit Camp Nou for Arsenal
to increase his chances of playing first team football.
It's all black and white at Barca Barcelona appear to be living by the phrase 'look after the cents

Lionel Messi produced yet another memorable performance as his brilliant brace helped Barcelona
triumph 5-4 on aggregate over bitter rivals Real Madrid to lift the Spanish Super Cup at Camp

With the score tied at 2-2 following the first leg in Madrid on Sunday, tonight's thrilling
second leg appeared to be heading for yet another stalemate when Messi broke the deadlock two
minutes from the full-time whistle.
Many are wondering how Arsenal should replace Cesc Fabregas, who has finally made his return to the
Camp Nou where he won his first piece of silverware in six years after playing ten minutes for
Barcelona. Arsene Wenger has a decision to make:...

Saints be praised, Barcelona have officially opened their search for new Camp Nou cheerleaders
today and have chosen to mark the occasion by releasing a vaguely 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'-esque
viral chock-full of Catalonia's finest pom-pom twiddlers to get your juices flowing so to
speak.
A banana-a-day, keeps Messi' growing! (FC Barcelona - The 'beautiful team!)
Whether it be their draculian off-the-field tactics, or the devilish

Pies is going to be a bit quiet today as we succumb to the Spring Bank Holiday lull, so we'll
leave you with a couple of clips from Barca's post-Wembley celebrations.
Firstly, the Catalans banded together to show off their new trinkets to a packed-out Camp Nou
(sincere apologies for the 'comedy' soundtrack).
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is adamant that midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri
will not be leaving Arsenal this summer despite much publicized interest from rival
clubs.
Speculation has been mounting as to the future of two of the Gunners' most prized assets with
captain Cesc Fabregas being linked with a return to his boyhood club and European champions
Barcelona, whilst French star Samir Nasri is rumoured to be pondering a move up north to join
champions Manchester United.
Fabregas has been constantly linked with a move back to Catalunya to join his boyhood
club and European champions Barcelona who have made no secret of their desire to sign the
Spaniard.
Reflecting on the on-going transfer saga, French fullback Bacary Sagna is of the opinion that
the Gunners captain is desperate to move to the Camp Nou and be reunited with his family in his
home town as the Catalan giants prepare to launch a £35million summer raid.

Hate each one of them, but King Henry.

FC Barcelona released a video Monday to coincide with the signing of Cesc Fabregas from
Arsenal.
The Spanish midfielder, who participated in his first Barcelona training session today in Spain,
is featured in the cartoon (see above video) -- and may be ready to play in Wednesday's Spanish
Super Cup against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.
FC Barcelona won this seasons Spanish Super Cup in the end of a sensational match which ended
3-2 in favor of the host at Camp Nou. Two goals from Messi and one from Iniesta took Guardiola to
yet another title. The match also some disgraceful scenes at the end courtesy of the fight started
by Real madrid players.
I had a feeling Arsenal won't win the Carling Cup final. I said that before the game. I never
expected Arsenal to get past Messi in the Champions League, certainly not without Walcott. And I
didn't have high hopes from the FA Cup game as it was an away game to Old Trafford, a ground where
Arsenal don't score too many goals.
Barcelona's 1-1 draw with Real Madrid at the Camp Nou tonight sealed a 3-1 aggregate win and
secured a place in the Champions League Final on 28 May final at Wembley.
This game was the most open, and riveting of the four recent El Clasico's with both sides
committed to playing football and not diving all open the pitch.
There hasn't been many peeps out from the Camp Nou regarding Cesc Fabregas lately but I'm sure
there will be over the summer.
I have heard and seen little snippets. Apparently after the Champions League final Carles Puyol
said: "I'm convinced Cesc will play with us soon."
It does make me wonder though.
Barcelona have finalised an agreement for the transfer of Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal, according
to reports in Spain.
Arsene Wenger earlier revealed that he hoped the long-running saga would be resolved very soon
and later confirmed his skipper would play no part in Saturday's Premier League opener against
Newcastle at St James' Park.
As Barcelona head into this weekends game against Atletico Madrid looking for a record 16th
successive Liga victory, the question has be asked: Can anyone stop Barcelona this season?
It ha been an amazing season so far at the Camp Nou as Barca seem to set records on a weekly
basis.
So far this season in La Liga, Barcelona have picked up 52 points from a possible 57 after 19
games, which beats their own record from 2008-09.

Of course, it's only 'half-time'. Yes, Arsenal have still got to face Barcelona on their own
patch and, by jove, they'll only be taking a precarious one-goal advantage to the Camp Nou in a
fortnight's time, but until then Cesc Fabregas and his minions can revel to their heart's content
in having beaten the 'best side in football's history' at their own soddin' game.
I'm not taking anything away from Wayne Rooney here. His goal (despite flying in off his shin)
against Manchester City was a marvellous one.
Sky Sports certainly thought it was. Since the goal I must have seen it replayed more times than
Rooney has banged call girls.
However, despite the media having a gangbang over it, I still think that Andrei Arshavin's one
against Barcelona the other night was better.

On Tuesday night, Lionel Messi set a new record when recording his 48th goal of a wonderful season
for Barcelona. The previous holder of the club record was Ronaldo, who in his solitary season at
the club in 1996-97 won both the Copa del Rey and the Cup Winners' Cup under Bobby Robson, before
his career at Camp Nou was truncated by a bitter contractual dispute.

Madrid could bow out of the tournament later today (2:45 p.m., Fox Soccer Channel) unless Jose

Barcelona at Camp Nou.

Amazing to see Eric Abidal back so quickly following his surgery.
Three games left in the season and our title hopes ended not with a bang, but with a whimper.
It's hard not to look back and see a lot of missed opportunities. Obviously OptaJoe feels our pain
because they tweeted this interesting table yesterday:
That, my gooner friends, is what the league table would look like if all the shots that hit the
woodwork this season had actually gone into the net.
Some last-minute thoughts . . .
Last year I wrote something about styles and stylelessness in soccer, and I'm thinking about
that again as the Champions League final approaches. Everyone knows, because fifty articles a day
say so, that Barcelona has a very distinctive style of play. You can name it and describe it, and
you can see clearly when other sides try to imitate it.
Ok, here is an update on the latest transfer rumours related to Barca. As expected Cesc Fabregas
rules the chart with constant report on papers in Spain and England. After that infamous back heel
which resulted in Messi scoring a wonder goal at Camp Nou, I have heard many Arsenal fans shouting
to sell Fabregas as they questioned commitment.
Last summer, the Catalan calendar was altered forever - a small entryhas been made to mark the
annual pursuit of a Catalan boy trapped in London (Quite funny isn't it?). The festival starts
somearound teh first week of June and ends towards the end of August. Surprisingly this festival is
coinciding with the European summer tarnsfer markets date.

Despite the news that La Liga will delay the start of the 2011-12 season due to a strike by the
Spanish players' union, soccer fans can still look forward to the 2011 Supercopa Espana which kicks
off Sunday, August 14 between La Liga winner Barcelona and Copa del Rey champion Real Madrid.
Barcelona and Real Madrid renew their rivalry in the two-game Spanish Supercup series this
weekend in what should be an early indicator of each teams' form ahead of the new season.
The teams met five times last season and this preseason series between league winner and
domestic cup champion provides two more clashes, starting with Sunday's first-leg at the Santiago
Bernabeu stadium followed by the return at the Camp Nou on Wednesday.

Sunday kicks off the first leg of the 2011 Spanish Super Cup featuring two of the greatest teams
in the world, Real Madrid against Barcelona. Remarkably, this is the first time that Real Madrid
and Barcelona have faced each other in the Spanish Super Cup since 1997 when Los Blancos won both
La Liga and the Supercopa Espana.
The first leg of the 2011 Spanish Super Cup took place in the capital city of Madrid last night
with those two arch-rivals Real Madrid and FC Barcelona doing battle once more. After five Clásico
meetings last season one would imagine that these two giants of world football would be sick of the
sight of each other by now.
Barcelona's new number four was unveiled at the Camp Nou this afternoon and the headline on the
Barcelona web site said it all "Back Home"
Eight years after leaving for Arsenal, Cesc (he is no longer Cesc Fabregas, he is just Cesc) has
come home to fulfill a dream. Before taking questions from the media today, Cesc stared

Spanish international midfielder Cesc F bregas was officially presented as an FC Barcelona player
