Former Dynamo star Geoff Cameron, who now plays for Stoke City of the English Premier League, knows from experience that Mexican can be defeated at Azteca Stadium.
Cameron was part of the U.S. national team squad that beat Mexico at Azteca Stadium in a friendly last August. He'll carry that experience Tuesday night when the U.
Geoff Cameron's Stoke City side find themselves in eighth place in the Premier League after defeating Liverpool on Wednesday evening. Cameron, an Attleboro, Mass. native, started and went the distance in Stoke's 3-1 win over their more famous foes.
Stoke (6-3-10, 28 points), with Cameron featuring at right back, have allowed just 14 goals in 19 games this season, the lowest total in England's Premier League.
In the Premier League on Wednesday, Geoff Cameron got the stat for Stoke City who came back to beat Newcastle 2-1 at the Britannia Stadium. Trailing from the 47th minute, Stoke's Jonathan Walers equalized in the 81st and Cameron Jerome scored the winner four minutes later. The referee booked Cameron in the 59th minute.

New England natives Geoff Cameron (Attleboro, Mass.) and Michael Parkhust (Providence, R.I.) were among 24 players called up by U.
Geoff Cameron may have only recently established himself as a starting centerback for the U.S. Men's National Team, but it is no longer a stretch to say that, right now, he is the national team's best centerback and a player who should remain a starter for a long time.
On Sunday, Geoff Cameron was named man-of-the-match in his first game for his new team, Stoke City.
After weeks of waiting and paperwork, Cameron was finally able to take the pitch after a transfer
that continued the gradual march of ...

With Carlos Bocanegra out of the picture for now, and Oguchi Onyewu still in "Can't Get Minutes for His Club Team" asylum, the centerback pool for the U.S. Men's National Team has an inexperience feel to it heading into the March World Cup qualifiers.
Geoff Cameron and Omar Gonzalez started in the team's last qualifier, but with the fullback position down to the bare bones, there is a very good chance Cameron will spend these next qualifiers as a fullback, which isn't a stretch considering that's where he plays for Stoke City.
Geoff Cameron and Brad Guzan are two of the Americans enjoying succesful seasons and they will have a chance to further build on them this weekend. Against one another.
Cameron and Guzan are set to square off, as Stoke City visits Aston Villa in what is arguably the biggest game involving Americans on Saturday.
Geoff Cameron took part in his first Boxing Day on Wednesday, and he surely will not forget it any time soon.
Cameron and Stoke City extended their undefeated run to nine games by defeating Liverpool, 3-1, at Britannia Stadium. Cameron went the distance in his latest outing for the Trotters, but his major hiccup in the match came four minutes in when he received a yellow card that will force him out of Stoke's next game.
Geoff Cameron saw the field once again at midfield in Stoke City's loss to Swindon Town, while Brad
Guzan and Eric Lichaj helped Aston Villa get through to the next round of League Cup.
The Portland Timbers U-17/18 squad fell in it's first competitive match on Saturday 5-0 at
Chivas USA (the U-15/16 team drew 2-2, but further information is not currently available).
The Chivas ‘Kids' saw goals from Julio Chavez (11'), Michael Gonzalez (66'), Romario Lomell
(53') and a brace from Daniel Moreno (19', 32').
Their Words "Obviously, the more I play with the guys, the better our understanding will be. So,
hopefully today was the first step, and now we can hopefully build upon that and continue to get
better collectively." Stoke City defender Geoff Cameron. Other Sources San Jose announce

With a World Cup qualifier against Jamaica looming, U.S. national team head coach Jurgen
Klinsmann spoke about the recent moves a handful of players on his roster made towards the end of
the international transfer window.
Clint Dempsey, Maurice Edu, Carlos Bocanegra, Geoff Cameron, and Oguchi Onyewu all switched
clubs before the window closed, moves that Klinsmann describes as 'upward moves' to 'clubs of a
certain caliber.

Geoff Cameron continued to solidify his starting role with new club Stoke City, playing 90
minutes in the Potters' 2-2 draw at Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
It has been a whirlwind few months, and an unforgettable year for the 27-year old, who has made
the transition to the English Premier League, as well as the U.
Its a busy time of the "summer", orange fans. I put sarcastic quotation marks around "summer"
because I am starting my fourth week of school, without a shred of sympathy for grade school
children bemoaning the end of their breaks. Also, I'm a bit scienced-out for the week, so I'm going
to let Opta add the science to the beautiful game as long as everyone is cool with that.

Serge Gnabry. Another outstanding young Arsenal player.
By Cameron Wolfe.
Before you wonder about his surname. He's German. (Silent G)
He's another speedy forward who joined Arsenal from VfB Stuttgart in the summer 2011. He's
quickly established himself in the reserves and managed six appearances and scored twice.
It is just coming up to 1pm UK time, and so far all that seems to have happened on transfer day
is that Nic Bendtner is in Turin to have a medical with Juventus.
So perhaps we will have to look elsewhere for signings.
Going to Stoke in the last few seasons has normally been difficult to say the least. It used to
be Bolton that the media would pick out as the team that we were constantly being bullied by. Now
it seems that Stoke have picked [.
The big news over the weekend is Stoke City moving for Maurice Edu. Though the move has yet to
become official, Stoke City has confirmed they've agreed to personal terms with Edu and are waiting
on a work permit. Fellow American Geoff Cameron had a strong debut for Stoke in a scoreless draw
with Arsenal, earning praise from Stoke manager Tony Pulis.
Geoff Cameron made his Premier League debut in Stoke City's draw with Arsenal, while Seb Hines
scored a goal in Middlesbrough's win over Crystal Palace.
You only get one chance to make a first impression. So Geoff Cameron decided to make his EPL
debut a memorable one.
On Sunday, the Attleboro (Mass.) native earned Man of the Match honors after helping Stoke
City's hold off Arsenal for 90 minutes during a 0-0 draw at Britannia Stadium.

Are salary caps and contract trades in football the way of the future?
By Cameron Wolfe
I read an article years ago which compared football transfers with transfers in North American
sports ( NFL, NHL, baseball etc) and in which the question was posed: Would an alternative transfer
approach work here in football?
Back in 2008 Uefa introduced its extra officials: one behind each goal line.
The extra officials were initially tested in European Under-19 qualifying competitions in 2008
before being trialled in the 2009/10 Europa League group stages.
Maurice Edu's move to Stoke City is officially complete.
Edu signed a three-year deal with Stoke Thursday, and the club has been given the green light
by the English FA to finalize his work permit that will make him eligible for selection. According
to the club's official website, it is unlikely that will be completed ahead of this weekend's match
against Wigan Athletic, meaning that Edu will debut for the club following the international
break.
Eric Lichaj and Brad Guzan hope to see playing time in Aston Villa's game against Tranmere Rovers,
while Geoff Cameron could see the field in Stoke City's match with Swindon Town.
Maurice Edu's transfer saga has taken a bit of an odd turn.
Two days after Rangers manager Ally McCoist claimed that League Championship side Ipswich Town
had made an offer for the U.S. international, the club's manager, Paul Jewell, denied that his club
had done such a thing.
As Prime Minister David Cameron wibble-wibbled his way through a speech on welfare at some indistinguishable Tory wibblefest, it became incredibly obvious to a few observers that the rousing finale of Cameron's wibble-wobble appeared to be lifted almost word-for-word from the press conference scene in Mike Bassett: England Manager.
With the announcement of Jurgen Klinsmann's 24-player roster for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers
against Jamaica, the stage is set for the week of preparations that kicked off Sunday in Miami.
Players began reporting throughout the afternoon beginning with Jermaine Jones, the USA's
game-winning goalscorer in the last meeting against Jamaica.
The American duo of Geoff Cameron and Maurice Edu look to help Stoke City against Wigan Athletic,
while Eric Lichaj hopes to see the field as Aston Villa takes on Newcastle United.
We review Liverpool vs Man City and touch on Geoff Cameron's Stoke debut, Michael Bradley's
assist for Roma and the big hole in Wayne Rooney's thigh. We also welcome Ted Meyer from Around the
