"Size has never been a problem for me."
Er... we beg to differ, Fabio. You may claim not to remember the Photoshop D&G re-touch
incident of 2006, but it is scorched into our frontal lobes to the extent that we can call it to
mind on closed eyes command.
BANGKOK POST
The Thai football team yesterday offered apologises to fans for their early exit at the SEA
Games.
The squad returned home yesterday after three defeats and only one win in Group A at the
biennial event.
"I apologise to our fans for our failure," said coach Prapol Pongpanich.
You could see the internet wariors racing for their keyboard once
Singaore defender Nigel Vanu received a straight red after lashing out at an Indonesia player
during their SEA Games encounter at the Bung Karno earlier this afternoon. 1- 0 against the hosts
following poor performances against Malaysia and Cambodia, Vanu's red gave them a target for their
opprobrium.
Some might suggest the Singapore public are notoriously difficult to please. Others that they are
whiney bunch who would complain about beating Brazil 5-0 in the World Cup Final. This performance
won't shut them up.
A credible 0-0 in their opening game against the holders Malaysia was greeted with resigned
resignation as the nation collectively sighed and said here we go again, a Singapore team promising
much but delivering little.
HA NOI — The Vietnamese Football Fans' Club will co-ordinate with Vietnam Airlines to charter

Indonesia next month.
Viet Nam Airlines will operate two flights from Ha Noi and HCM City on November 19 if Viet Nam
secures a place in the semi-finals of the men's fooball event.

Cambodia's sole target this year in international football has been the SEA Gams which start next
month, hopefully, in Jakarta. The national team coach came out and said several months ago the
World Cup Qualifiers, against Laos, weren't important, his eye was on regional glory.
To help prepare for that regional glory, they have been drawn with Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia
and Singapore so the definition of glory maybe an interesting one, Cambodia have played teams like
a bunch of Korean students.

Congratulations to Phnom Penh Crown who were, umm, crowned C League champions in Cambodia last
weekend. Since David Booth came in to replace the China bound Bojan Hodak PPC won all eight games,
allowing them to stretch clear of nearest challengers Naga Corp.
PPC have shown themselves to be a very ambitious football club with an academy , merchandising, a
cafe, a regularly updated website plus regular appearances in the Singapore Cup.
Manchester United have signed two new lucrative commercial deals, including the announcement of
logistics company DHL as their first training kit sponsor.
Yes you read that right. DHL will sponsor United's training kit in a four-year deal worth a
reported £40 million. I am not aware of any other sports team in the world that has been able to
sell sponsorship on the club's playing kit and training kit to different sponsors.

Manchester United have confirmed two new commercial partnerships, including an extension of
their existing partnership with logistics firm DHL, who will be their first training kit
sponsor.
The new four-year-agreement sees the DHL logo included on the Club's training kit worn by all
first, reserve and youth team players during domestic competitions and builds on DHL's relationship
behind the scenes at the club, who have been Manchester United sponsors for over an year and were
the official sponsors for United's pre-season tour of the United States this summer.

Like their previous three appearances, Abahahi set their sights on the finals of the AFC
President's Cup as the three-time Bangladesh League champions begin their Group A Qualifying
campaign in Cambodia from Saturday.
The new format of the President's Cup is what gives Abahani hope of qualifying since the final
round this time will allow six clubs instead of four.
Moments after whining that SLeague clubs do nothing to promote their own league I hear from Andy in
Cambodia. Blogger and now media officer at Phnom Penh Crown, he is actively involved in raising the
profile of the game in Cambodia including putting together the first ever Phnom Penh Crown
handbook.
This weekend sees the President's up kick off and one way to put bums on seats is to advertise.

About 18 months ago it looked like Gombak United would be the team to break the stranglehold SAFFC
had on the SLeague. They boasted the best defence with Bah Mamadou and Obadin at the heart while
also boasting the most potent strikeforce in the country.
Agu Casmir headed to Persija in Indonesia, Kingsley Njokou has ended up with Phnom Penh Crown in
Cambodia while Gabriel Obatola is now with Pattaya United in the Thai Premier League after a spell
in the US with Portland Tomberwolves.
Andy from Cambodia Football is reporting that David Booth has been sacked as coach of Thai Premier
League side Si Sa Ket. Of course, they won at the weekend, defeating Pattaya United 2-0, a victory
that sees them climb to 11th in the 18th team league just a point behind highly fancied Bangkok
Glass. Well, they have deep pockets at least.

PHNOM PENH (29 March 2011) –Acquiescing to the requests of teams playing in
the Metfone Cambodia League, the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) have decided to scrap the
Super Four playoffs.
The Super Four playoffs was introduced by the FFC to decide the Cambodian League champions where
after the league stage of home and away, the top four ranked teams are then drawn among each other
in a semi-final match up and then the final game.
Muang Thong United's defender Zesh Rehman has been called up by Pakistan ahead of next week's AFC

VIENTIANE (19 Feb 2011) – Laos and Indonesia will each host two tournaments
of the AFF this year – following the decisions of the AFF Council this afternoon in Kuala

Laos, who had successfully organised the qualifying round of the AFF
Suzuki Cup last year, will host the AFF Under-16 Championship and also the AFF Women's Football
Championship.
Ambition is not measured by what you say. If it was then Tottenham would be the biggest club in the
known universe.
No, what's important about ambition is how you set about achieving it. And it's not just the
glamour names that show ambition, it's the little touches around the club that show how how
determined the club is.
Former Phnom Penh Crown striker Uche Prince Justine is reported to have signed for Thai Division
One side Chula United. Who wear pink. The stocky, powerful striker had two seasons in Cambodia
netting 25 goals last season. He is joined in Bangkok by former Kirivong striker Julius Ononiwu.
