Arsene Wenger and Arsenal had a thoroughly miserable end to last season. The Gunners were
challenging for all four competitions, then after the farcical defeat to Birmingham in the Carling
Cup Final, the team just seemed to lose all belief in themselves and quickly dropped out of
contention in the other three competitions as well.
