Those of you looking for our normal pre-game 3 Questions piece might be a bit surprised by the fact that we won't have one this week. Instead of our regular format, we talked with Scott Kessler over at Brotherly Game. Scott preferred a Gmail chat based collaboration rather than a 3 Questions exchange, and our very own James Coston agreed to do that chat.

Another day, another Fredy Montero interview. It's like he's the hottest player in MLS or something. In this case he did an interview with El Pais of Colombia. The most revealing news to Seattle Sounders fans is that despite all the rumors of clubs interested in Montero, none have made an offer to buy.

Faryd Mondragon is officially no longer a Philadelphia Union player. The goalkeeper will return to the team that he began his career with, Deportivo Cali, as soon as the player and his family can move to Colombia.

"It has been an absolute honor and a privilege to be part of the Union family," said Mondragón told PhiladelphiaUnion.

Faryd Mondragon's out-of-the-blue transfer saga may be at an end, according to a Colombian media outlet.

The 40-year-old has signed a contract with Deportivo Cali, Nuevo Estadio reports. Mondragon began his career with the Liga Postobon club in 1990-1991, before moving to Real Cartagena, another Colombian team.

If Colombian media is to be believed, Faryd Mondragon is set to made a dramatic return to the country to end his career.

Golcarcol is reporting that Deportivo Cali has begun discussions to bring Mondragon back to the team. Deportivo is the team with which Mondragon began his career, which now spans over two decades, during the 1990-91 season.

Adrian Hanauer made one point crystal clear when discussing the series of events that resulted in the Seattle Sounders trading Alvaro Fernandez and signing Christian Tiffert: That wasn't exactly how they wanted it to play out.

If the transfer window had gone according to plan, the Sounders GM said he would have figured out a way to keep Fernandez under the team's control, while also adding their new German playmaker.

Believe it or not, Fredy Montero's re-signing was probably not the most interesting bit of news to come out of Tuesday's press conference.

As you are all now well aware of Alvaro Fernandez has been acquired by the Chicago Fire for allocation money. This can only be described as a huge boost for the Fire organization. Fernandez has been a main stay in the very good Seattle offensive attack over the last few years. His production has fallen off from last season to this season.

Wednesday night will be a bittersweet send off for Roger Levesque. The Sounder's own version of a SeaFair Pirate is retiring after the Chelsea match. Roger epitomizes the heart of this team and he will be missed. But as we reflect on his departure, it is also true that his retirement is an adjustment to the Sounders roster.
