No word yet on Lyon's pre-season schedule, but that's to be expected because half our players
will be involved in either Euro 2008 (looking at all the Lyon players spread throughout the Euro
2008 squads, one of them better return as a tournament winner) or FIFA World Cup qualifying. The
players that will remain behind will be traveling to Dubai next week to help Al
Shabab football club celebrate their 50th anniversary.

With the heavy fixture load coming up in the next month, I thought that before things get too
serious around here, I'd share the pictures from the OL 2009 calendar. As I mentioned earlier, Lyon
got creative this year and had the players dress up in a way that reflected some aspect of the
player's personality, either hobbies, persona, background, or running gags.
To get ready for the Euros, les Bleus will now be playing three games in France in late
May and early June against South American teams.

Just the other day, the LFP published the summer schedule of friendlies for both Ligue 1 and
Ligue 2 clubs. Nearly all of them will be busy this summer - Marseille have nine
