Bob Bradley has always been a tremendous example for his players and leader as a soccer coach. Now,
in the wake of a terrible tragedy, he is asked to do the same for a nation.
Bradley insisted Monday that he is "totally committed" to coaching Egypt's national soccer team
despite the turmoil in the country following the riot at a game last week that left more than 70
dead.
I hate to start these things on a down note, but today I feel I have too. As most know,
Wednesday in Port Said Egypt a riot broke out at a Egyptian Premier League match. At the least 74
people lost their lives midweek and hundreds were injured after a match between Al-Masry and
Al-Ahly.
Former USMNT boss and current Egyptian National Team coach Bob Bradley watched the events unfold
on TV as he was getting ready to attend another match that day.
We thought it'd be appropriate to spend a few minutes of today to send our thoughts and prayers
out to the families of Egypt's football tragedy last night. Contrary to popular
beliefs, we all know that football shouldn't be a matter of life and death. Lives can't be taken
away out of one's anger at the scoreline of a match.

Today, along with his wife Lindsay, Bob Bradley joined the thousands of mourners in Cairo's
Sphinx Square to express his sympathy to the victims and families affected by the clash between
rival fans of Al-Ahly and Al-Masry in the Egyptian city of Port Said.

En la grada serán rivales, pero la calle los ha colocado detrás de la misma valla. El pasado mes

Egyptians have done for what they believe. And when you are a coach of a national team your team

Yesterday's round of AFCON qualifiers marked a huge upset for traditional African football
powerhouses Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt who saw their hopes of making it to the 2012 African
Cup of Nations end dramatically.
For Nigeria, a 2-2 draw at home against Guinea was not enough to see them through to the
finals.
The latest word I have from Egypt's spokesman is that: 1) everything is now settled with Bob
Bradley, who signed his contract today & 2) the new coach will be officially presented tomorrow at
3 pm Cairo time (9 am ET for you all). Bear in mind as we continue here that I've yet to confirm
these items with Bradley's agent.

Bob Bradley is officially back in the coaching game.
Having been rumored to take over as head coach of Egypt's national team, Bradley has completed
his move to coach the Pharoahs. Bradley flew to Cairo and met with Egyptian Federation officials to
finalize the details of his contract on Wednesday, and the federation announced the deal was
completed on its website on Thursday.
Former U.S. national team coach Bob Bradley won't be toiling in Mexico any time soon, but he's
still wanted in Egypt.
Santos Laguna on Thursday offered its vacant coaching job to Benjamin Galindo, according to reports
in Mexico, after interviewing Bradley earlier this week, but an Egyptian federation spokesman told
Major League Soccer's website that the Pharaohs job is Bradley's if he wants it.

South Africa and Libya have agreed to swap hosting rights for their respective African Nations
Cup tournaments. The arrangement, if ratified by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) at a

Libya in 2017, giving the war-torn nation more time to prepare.

Brazil's poor form on the international stage has prompted the Brazilian Football Confederation
to arrange some 'winnable' games for the Seleção.
First up will be Egypt in Cairo on September 6th. Brazil then take on Argentina on the 14th

One thing I always like about the Mexican football, that they always manage to surprise you in
front of big teams. Yes, their National team still dreaming of reaching the semi-final of World
Cup, but when they face big giants they are up to the challenge. Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Italy
all either suffered of hardly passed Mexico when facing them in WC games (apart of Argentina 2010
game).

When TP Mazembe won their second leg against Wydad Casablanca by two goals to nil, overturning a

round) regarding the eligibility of Mazembe defender Janvier Bokungu was heard by CAF and the
African giants TP Mazembe were thrown out of the competition.
