Williamsburg, Va. - After a stellar four-year career at William and Mary, Tribe
senior Alan Koger was taken in the third round (54th pick) of the 2011 Major League Soccer
SuperDraft by the New England Revolution. With his selection, Koger becomes the ninth player in
program history to be drafted in to the MLS.

The Willam and Mary men's soccer team withstood a brutal flurry of shots in the second half to
down VCU 1-0 in Richmond, and keep pace at the top of an ever-tightening Colonial Athletic
Association race. The Tribe improves to 8-5 overall and 5-2 in the CAA, while the Rams fall to 8-6
and 3-3 in the league.

Connecticut's loss was Maryland's gain.
After a slip-up to West Virginia, the UConn men's soccer team fell off its perch atop the NCAA
RPI rankings, allowing Maryland to claim the top spot. Both teams sport 13-1-2 records, but
Maryland is coming off of a tie at now-No.
It all comes down to this for the women's teams in the CAA as the 2011 Virginia 529 CAA Women's
Soccer Championship kicks off on Thursday evening at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field in
Williamsburg, Va.
