Looks a bit more quiet on the Samir Nasri transfer buzz as the player plays down the rumours.
Hopefully negotiations can get back on track without the distractions of the last few days.
Meanwhile Liam Brady, in charge of youth development is optimistic that Nasri will still be at
Arsenal.
It is SuperDraft eve. Feel the excitement? The buzz? Yeah this draft is shaping up to be one
interesting ride tomorrow. Teams are in Baltimore as we speak getting geared up for this thing.
This will be my final mock draft for this SuperDraft. Today I'm going board and will be doing a
two round version.

Charlie Davies just made it a bit harder for D.C. United to say no to a loan deal. Davies scored
and provided an assist to Joseph Ngwenya in United's 5-1 victory over the Canadian U-20s in Fort
Lauderdale. Even considering the competition, United can't ask much more of Davies than to spark
the offense when given the chance during his week-long evaluation period.
It's April 3, 2004, 14 year-old US soccer sensation Freddy Adu is about to make his MLS and
professional soccer debut with D.C. United. RFK stadium is sold out, and kids everywhere are
wearing his jersey. There's a certain buzz in the air that wasn't present in any MLS game before.
Soccer analysts were calling him, "the future of US soccer".
MLSsoccer.com adds heatmaps and chalkboard tactics to every MLS game this year
With almost no fanfare or buzz, MLSsoccer.com added chalkboard stats and heatmaps to every MLS
game this year. The link takes you to FC Dallas vs. Chicago on March 19, 2011. Kudos to MLS on
this. The new level of stats to look at is great.

Will Juan Pablo Angel be joining the Union?
Speculation began to gain momentum when Faryd Mondragon, a close friend of Angel, tweeted, "What
a dream come true will be to have my "brother" Juan Pablo Angel to play for the Philadelphia Union,
he will fit perfectly in our Team!

Czech porn star Klarisa Leone (star of 'Don't Tell My Wife I'm Banging My Secretary', 'MILF
Masturbation Nation 11′ and 'Joachim's Czech F**k Fest', along with several other titles not
suitable for mention pre-watershed) has announced that she is to set up and run her own football
club after falling in love with Inter Milan as the photos above duly attest to.
Last week on Twitter, Kei Kamara and Teal Bunbury tweeted at Cincinnati Bengals' wide receiver,
Chad Ochocinco, saying he should come train with Sporting KC now that the NFL has locked the
players out. I'd avoided comment on the topic at the time because I figured it was just going to go
away with out anything so I really did not want to get on it.

A drunk fan decided that the best way to utilize his buzz during the Dutch Cup clash between AZ
and Ajax was to attack AZ's keeper Esteban Alvarado because...well, he was drunk. So the keeper
defended himself, then attacked the intruder with his boots and boiling anger. Understandably.
However, the referee decided he should then send off Alvarado, which then prompted AZ to walk off
the pitch.
We are out town today, but the MLS Combine is upon us. We thought it worth re-posting our
interview from last year with Buzz Carrick about the business of the event. Enjoy the post and
the great insights from Mr. Carrick.
It's time for the MLS combine, when college seniors and Generation Adidas players showcase their
wares for MLS coaches and general managers.
1. The January Camp friendlies rarely provide the most exciting matches normally our MLS-ers
against a decent country's domestic-leaguers but they do provide a glimpse at our youth (most
players on our roster are under 25). For a lucky few, it can even propel them into the first-team
conversation.
We love Gary Neville because he is one of us. All this phony hugging and high-fiving you see
other teams do ahead of kick-off, the badge kissing, the promises of finishing a career at a club,
the sulks, the agents and everything else involved in football these days made us appreciate Nev
all the more.
With Chelsea taking on Liverpool this weekend, just days after Fernando Torres left behind the
Reds to join the Blues (for a lot of green), there is a big buzz over whether Torres should or
shouldn't celebrate if he scores a goal against his former club.
To some, choosing not to celebrate against a former club is seen as a classy gesture, but with
Torres being vilified by Liverpool fans, it's tough to imagine that it will matter much to them
whether the Spanish striker goes crazy or stays calm if he finds the net this weekend.
Did Wednesday night's game at the Emirates mark a watershed for the Arsenal? All the reports I
have read about the Emirates have decried the lack of atmosphere and compared it to a library.
Now, never having been there, I am these days the archetypal armchair fan subscribing to every
TV and Computer feed that will bring me the games as they happen and have therefore got used to the
sound or lack off it, in many cases, coming through my speakers.
Andy Najar is the 18-year old winger, already believed by some to be one of DC United's best
players. He had an impressive first season, making 28 appearances and scoring 5 goals. That
performance created a lot of buzz, particularly because he is a US resident on a path to
citizenship and could play for the USMNT or for his home country, Honduras.

Jermain Defoe has spoken publicly once again about his frustration at the lack of first team
action this season. After an absence due to injury, Defoe was sent off in the Boxing Day game at
Aston Villa and following his subsequent suspension, Harry Redknapp only picked him
sporadically.
Defoe took until March to register his first Premier League goal, but was still left on the
bench in the main for the last part of the season.

The world's oldest football competition will be sponsored for the next three years by the
"King of Beers". The competition is to be grandiosely re-branded as the FA Cup with
Budweiser.
The FA of course gets some serious business. For the more finicky it's a measure of the beer's
quality when the Budweiser ads generate more buzz than the taste.
Our Women's US National team is creating a lot of buzz recently. The World Cup begins on Sunday
in Germany, and the consensus is that our ladies, though starting off... Read more »
Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool captain, is in a race to be fit for the start of the new season but
says he is feeling "as good as ever".
Gerrard is currently undergoing a program of rehabilitation - the club's physios have been working
with him every day at his holiday home in Portugal - after groin surgery in March.
Now that the US men's national team's hopes for winning the 2011 Gold Cup are dashed, our
attention changes to focus on the US women's national team who will play their first match of the
tournament on Tuesday against Korea DPR (11:45am ET, ESPN).
Meanwhile today is the first day of competition in the 2011 Women's World Cup.
Coventry City boss Andy Thorn has switched his attention elsewhere after missing out on rising
Liverpool star Dani Pacheco.
The Sky Blues manager had the Spain Under-20 striker lined up to join the club on loan but the deal
has fallen through because the Reds rate him so highly that they want to keep him closer to home.
Well, talk about unexpected. The Philadelphia Union and CBS Radio property SportsRadio WIP have
announced a major deal that will see 17 select home and away Union matches broadcast on local radio
starting next year, in addition to a weekly hour-long show dedicated to soccer, also starting next
year that will run through the end of the MLS season in November.

Career change A Czech porn star is set to make the move to football by starting her own football

The YNT Blog isn't the type to poke fun at people's misery but man, this one was too good to pass
up.
This great photo is courtesy of our photographer John Dorton who was down here during the Nike
International Friendlies. He snapped this shot right after Rubio Rubin's goal last night in the 3-1
win against Brazil.
MOLDE, Norway Rising American soccer star Josh Gatt has officially joined Norwegian Division One
professional club Molde FK. Gatt, who signed his first professional contract to play with Austrian
club SCR Altach in January of 2010, has emerged this past year as one of the premier young talents
in the United States.
BOLTON, England Bolton Wanderers have announced the signing of defender David Wheater for an
undisclosed fee from Championship outfit Middlesbrough. The former England Under-21 defender has
signed a three-and-a-half year deal and linked-up with his new team-mates for the first time on
Thursday morning at the club's Euxton-based training complex.
Tomorrow night (or evening for those on the West Coast) the United States January camp team will
take the pitch against Chile in a friendly where both sides are lacking all of their biggest
stars. Chile is a good South American squad, normally second-tier behind countries like Brazil
and Argentina, but with their former coach leading the team and not bringing many starters, this is
a tough match to judge how far the U.
Over the last couple of years, we have conducted interviews with a number of marketing
professionals throughout MLS. These Q&As have provided great insight into the marketing
strategies and goals of various franchises. Within the league, the Portland Timbers are one of
the most exciting marketing stories of 2011.
John Terry has spoken of Chelsea's new signings and the buzz it has brought to the club. In an
article featured in the Mirror Terry said:
"There is a buzz around the camp and it is great from a club perspective that we are in
the market again with two massive signings. It lets everybody know we are in the market again, and
buying again, and competing with the likes of City, who have been spending an awful lot of
money.
So gradually the dust is beginning to settle down after the events at the beginning of the week.
Carlo Ancelotti has a new headache and this time it's a good one. Fernando Torres is fit and raring
to go in what he calls "destiny" against his old club and I am sure there are one or two Liverpool
fans fearing the worst at the Bridge.
It's been a manic, surprising and very entertaining few days in my life, so much so I've not
been able to write about my beloved Spurs or mention 4-4-2 once. I did of course manage to watch
the Bolton game but there's very little point in me going into that now, especially as that's been
superseded by more bickering and handbag waving between Levy and Brady.
It's an interesting perspective, considering SH's track record of removing people that don't get
on the "bus". And we all know about his and Pearce's little spat at the end of the year. That
said, Buzz Carrick over at 3rd Degree has a quote from Technical Director Barry Gorman, regarding
the trade:
Via 3rd Degree:
"We try to keep the coaches out of the direct line with these things.
