On-loan Bury striker Giles Coke and Captain Steven Schumacher are both booked after this very
embarrassing row over who was to take the penalty.
Needless to say the captain won and stook it away as Bury beat Yeovil 3-2.
For this week's profile, we are made up to welcome David Wilkinson of the stunning Leeds United
Blog, The Scratching Shed (indeed, 'blog' seems such a humble word to describe such a multifaceted
treasure trove). Having spent this week pondering the controversy surrounding the Yorkshire club's
3-2 win over Peterborough at the weekend, David turns his attention to a man who returned from
exile this
We've all been there: the hubris and cockiness borne of conviction and enthusiasm coming back to
bite us firmly in the backside. And so it was on Saturday for the Bury fans - rejoicing at being
back in League 1 and fortified by pre-match pints in the metal box of a social club adjacent to
Gigg Lane (£1 in for non-members; distinct odour of hot dogs, cooking lager and sweat) - who

Hot on the heels of Eddie Connachan, our Forgotten Scotland Player number 6, comes another delve
into the archives for number 7.
Another who strutted his stuff against Czechoslovakia at a neutral venue.
Another called Eddie.
Even more than that - another from Prestonpans.
Either Stockport's new owners have bottomless pockets and Bury's Ryan Lowe is so good that they'd
consider shattering the world transfer record in a bid to haul themselves back into the Football
League, or the Daily Star need to employ more competent and attentive proofreaders. My money's
probably on the latter.
I know, you've been listless the past few weeks. Something's missing in your life, maybe you're
not eating enough protein? Haven't called your mother recently? Or maybe it's the lack of Bolton
Wanderers. Well, fret not dear reader, as the Men in White have quite the busy summer planned.
We've known for a while about the jaunt over the pond, and your beloved bloggers will even be
attending the Houston match.
In the end, it didn't matter what happened at Broadhall Way yesterday afternoon because
Chesterfield secured the League 2 title by beating Gillingham, therefore confirming that the
minimum position we would achieve would be 7th. With Torquay also losing in South Yorkshire against
Rotherham, Boro's point was enough to earn them 6th position and a playoff tie with Accrington
Stanley with the hope of progressing onto Old Trafford and ultimately League 1.
That's the message that Graham Westley is sending out ahead of Boro's crucial clash with Bury
tomorrow afternoon. Westley is hoping that the "siege" mentality will have a positive effect on the
game, with Boro possibly needing to win to stay in the play-off places. Referee decisions have cost
his team in their last 2 away games and GW has planted a little seed in the referee's mind ahead
of the game.
Northampton 2-0 Stevenage (Davis 3, Uwezu 59)

Our play-off hopes remain in the balance after a disappointing defeat at Sixfields against
Northampton. Thanks to Macclesfield's 4-2 victory against Gillingham, we remain in the top 7, but
now have it all to do next week against already promoted Bury.
Efe Sodje: Scored against his former club
Bury 3-0 Stevenage (Bishop 8, Sodje 61, Lowe 70)
BBC Report | Westley Interview
It was a disappointing night in Lancashire as Boro fell to their first defeat in the league
since they were beat at Gillingham on New Year's Day.
Lawrie Wilson: Looked to have won the game for Boro
Stevenage 2-2 Accrington (Harrison 7, Wilson 78, Gornell 88, Procter 90)

This isn't going to be the most positive, pleasurable post I've ever written for this site in
the two and half years of its existence.
Ritchie Branagan is not only following in his father's footsteps by carving out a career as a
professional goalkeeper, but his first call-up to the Ireland Under-21 squad follows the career
path of his father Keith, who represented Ireland in goal in 1997.
Ireland Under-21 manager Noel King announced a 19 man squad, including Branagan, for the upcoming
U21 International friendly against Cyprus, which will take place on Wednesday, February 9 at the
GSZ Stadium in Larnaca.
